John Suburbs
Whenever I hit the post button and something wonky happens -- it hits an endless timer or the screen just blinks but does not update -- I just copy my post and hit the refresh button. If the thread has my post, all is well. If not, I open up a new edit box and paste it there. And if the whole site is down and nothing works, I paste it in Word or something and try again later. Mladen
If the screen doesn't update, just refresh it and I think you will find your post. That is at least how is working for me. The page doesn't update after I press POST, but when I refresh it, I see my post there. So, just don't press POST more than once. I sincerely hope these things will soon resolve because these things are rather annoying.

Yes, my system assumes, of course, that after you hit post, your actual post is still there and that you can either halt the post or just highlight the text and copy. If you hit post and you see the entire thread without your post on the end, a simply refresh will usually take you there. But if you hit post without copying first, and then the screen goes blank, you're out of luck. I don't think even the back button will get your post back.
