Condit returns tomorrow! I'm pretty excited for it. They had UFC 158 on some channel the other night which had the Hendricks-Condit matchup on it, what a fight that was. Hendricks was throwing straight bombs in the beginning. If Carlos can only improve his takedown defense...

So I am fairly new to this MMA thing but enjoying it a great deal each weekend.

I particularly like he heavier divisions, the lighter ones not so much.

Looking at these upcoming evenets the next few months, what are thee ones to look forward to?

Velasquez obviously. Anything else?

Last weekend was good I thought, particularly Arlovski vs Browne and Johnson vs Cormier.

The main thing coming up is Aldo vs McGregor, it is a very, very hyped fight. It's the PPV after Cain vs Werdum and yet the UFC has been promoting it wayyyy more, whether you like it or not it's going to be an enormous fight. Also on that card is the welterweight title fight, Robbie Lawler vs Rory MacDonald which is going to be fantastic. The Boetsch vs Henderson card is shit frankly. But definitely watch Machida vs Yoel Romero, because Yoel Romero is crazy and whenever he fights crazy awesome things happen, see his last fight (vs Tim Kennedy) as a perfect illustration of this.

I was just about to post that. It's over now on cuts which is a bit of a shame but Selby's looked extremely classy and it's hard to see how he would have lost. He definitely looked the part of a World Champion.

Selby looked really really good, yeah. Glad, because he's always looked like he might have it but I've never been sure if he's got the mentality. I am now, though.

He's gonna need it, he's in a rock solid division. He'd struggle with Walters and he's got nothing for Lomachenko, I don't think, though it would be a fun fight, but I'd love to see him against Gary Russell Jr. after his inevitable soft first defence in Wales.

Linares looks like a classy boxer, but apparently he's always had that chin. And now he's gone a bit cautious, understandably.

Sky's commentary is never great, but it seems to be particularly OTT tonight. Not quite so biased in this as the Selby fight, but there's a definite ignoring of Mitchell's weak spots.

Good decision to call that from the ref, Mitchell was messed up.

Good fight. Really good effort from Mitchell but you could see Linares had the class, he showed good heart to come back from the knockdown as well.

That was amazing. NEVER miss a Charles Oliveira fight, the guy is a fucking submission master.

Edit: Condit is definitely back, he just mangled Alves's nose with some sick standing elbows, doctor stoppage.

I didn't like the Olivieira-fight at all, it felt pretty sloppy and Olivieira had a ridiculously bad guard, just walking around with your head stiff and no hands up like that won't be a very smart thing to do against a better opponent. A nice ending to the bout though.

Condit were a machine, surprised Alves didn't pass out from all the beating, he just kept on taking it.

Wat. Oliveira has a fantastic guard and showcased it in that fight, he's one of the most skilled BJJ practitioners in MMA - you're not making any sense.
