grufolo
Since discussing show spoilers here is not recommended, should be not have a forum for people who want to discuss the conjoined implications of book and tvshow converging data?
Mladen
You have TV subforum for those purposes. Any book v show material go there.
DreamSongs
This already exists in the HBO forum. Look for a thread or create a thread stating 'book spoilers' in the title.
Free Northman Reborn
I totally agree with the OP. It simply makes no sense for highly committed, longtime readers to have to discuss the underlying show implications for the book plot in a forum where newbie Show watchers will be burying well reasoned analysis in comments about Daenerys being quite hot, or Jon maybe not being Eddard's son.I can't help but think this arrangement is intended to discourage readers from using the Show to do in depth forecasts for the books. And this in turn is motivated by a wish to reduce the fallout from the obvious disaster that is the Show overtaking Martin's glacial writing pace. mormont
Tinfoil hats off, people. We always aimed to have a single forum where TV vs show threads could be kept to avoid duplication and confusion (and, of course, spoilers). The GoT (General) forum was elected as that place, largely because at that time the main issue was considering how the plot of the books might be reflected in the TV show, not the other way around. It remains so because the show is an adaptation of the books, not the other way around. Simple as that. That's the policy, and it will remain the policy. End of.
