Make 10 Predictions for Season 6

Monoman32

  1. It will have sex scenes no one asked for.

One of the ep. titles will be very meta, like "The Needed Changes" or "Our Way" or "The Winds of Winter" despite the episode is made of very sunny scenes.

They will have an original scene that will be very polemic as it's offensive to minorities. Probably involving Sansa's vagina.

Tyrion will either ride a dragon or be named King in some way. By Varys.

They will portray one scene exactly as the book, but with the context changed, like Dany be named The Princess that Was Promised by the Dothrakis.

One of the most iconic lines will be replaced with no reason given.

Olly will have more moments than canonical characters.

"Arthur Dayne" will be a merge of other characters.

A lot of things established in ep. X will be contradicted in ep. X + (n).

GRRM won't post one single thing about the show in his blog.

I don't really see how Marg could *win* her trial. She's on trial for lying to the High Sparrow. She did. Everyone saw it. Everyone knows. I don't know how she can be proven innocent if everyone watched her commit the crime.

Sorry bro, I still have faith that Marg getting let off is a plot point they have to check off.

In the books she's on trial for fornication, but the charges are largely fabricated by Cersei. More importantly, Randyll Tarly and Mace Tyrell are hanging KL will an enormous Tyrell army. Even if she is convicted, Mace will not allow her to go through any sort of punishment.

So yeah, unless you think the show is going completely off the rails. (I wouldn't write this off.)

Not to derail the thread, but Olyvar's 'evidence' of sex with Loras is not evidence of Margaery lying about it.

Marg was asked 'Are these charges against your brother false, to the best of your knowledge?' She said they were false. Olyvar comes in and gives his 'evidence' and says that Margaery caught them at it. However, his 'evidence' of sex with Loras does not prove that she caught them and therefore lied; Olyvar could be lying about Marg catching them. Essentially, Olyvar is accusing her of lying in the presence of the Gods. There's no actual evidence though; it is simply her word against his.

The word of a lady who has a fucking 70,000 man army at her disposal.

Well exactly. I think that the Tyrell army is quite a bit smaller than this in the show, but the principle applies. The High Sparrow would have to be mad to find Loras or Marg guilty.

I think in the books, Tyene is going to pull some strings behind the scenes within the Faith to get Margaery convicted

My guess is that Margaery is toast in both mediums, unless she's declared innocent but comes back super ruthless after her punishment, and she turns out to be

the queen who threatened to cut off Harrys Swyft's head if he came back without the money in the Mercy chapter

5. Littlefinger will convince the Lords Declarant to send troops to Winterfell

6. The Knights of the Vale will take Winterfell, killing the Boltons, and Sansa will take her place as Wardeness of the North

7. With the Lords of the North now in her corner, and with no further need for Littlefinger, Sansa will kill him or have him killed

8. Cersei will ask for Trial by Combat: Ser Robert Strong vs. the Faith's champion, the Gravedigger from the Quiet Isle

9. Davos will find Rickon & Osha hiding away at Last Hearth

10. Melisandre will bring Jon back, R+L = J

You have a point, I always thought that the trial would happen before the Dornish delegation arrived. But considering the possible chaos Vary's could inflict...

1. Sansa will be plugged back into her book story as if WinterHell never happened, and will act as if she had never been raped (except maybe when we need to be reminded she hates the Boltons... because before had no reason to hate them, right?). The obviousness of the fact that her season 5 story was pure filler will, however, not dishearten show defenders, who will keep insisting that it was an example of the show's REALISTIC depiction of sexual violence. And D, D and Cogman, if asked about it, will say that Sansa is totally over it because she's so strong and empowered.

2. The fact she's married to Ramsay will be completely ignored, just as the fact that she's still married to Tyrion has been.

3. Ramsay will continue to be the protagonist of the Northern arc and to perform incredible military, strategic and telepathic feats that defy all logic.

4. Tyrion will continue to be perfect and will perfectly rule Meereen. The *ex?) slavers will love him (as they already do, due to his penchant for punching other slavers, which totally makes sense) and will have no problems with him being a foreigner, a former slave and a total stranger who came there two days earlier, even though they couldn't accept Dany even after she reopened th pits and married one of the slavers. Varys will still be there to keep kissing his ass.

5. Varys and Grey Worm will have repeated conversations about being eunuchs.

6. There will be some lame Tyrion-Missandei-Grey Worm love triangle, but it won't be instigated by Tyrion, because he's too saintly to come between a loving couple, but by Missy and/or Grey Worm because Tyrion's magic cock that the slavers keep in such high esteem may be the solution to GW's lack of cock.

7. Cersei will be really furious with Jaime when he comes back and will dump him, and everyone will have to see this as justified (on the show, she really would be). If had to happen that way, since the two of them have switched places after season 3, and who would stop adoring the perfection that is Carol show Cersei?

8. Balon Greyjoy will finally die. Euron will appear shortly after and immediately rape someone, so we'll know he's a bad guy.

9. Melisandre will do some sex stuff to to bring Jon to life, because she can't do anything on the show if she isn't showing her boobs.

10. We'll finally get to see Oldtown, and you know what that means... lots of scenes set in Oldtown brothels!

Bonus prediction: The show will continue to be as terrible as in season 5, unless it gets even worse, but there will still be lots of people insisting it's "just historically accurate", "realistic" and "better than 99% of what's on TV".

6. Sansa will marry Tormund to gain the loyalty of the Wildings as part of the effort to retake Winterfell. Thus she will become Jeyne Poole and Alys Karstark and named most valuable utility character for the series.

Maybe we should start a betting game: "Who will Sansa marry this season?" (Tormund? Euron? Night's King? Or is the latter being saved for season 7?) and "Which character(s) will Sansa be this season?"

I think so much of this is likely to happen that it's actually frightening me. Are you one of D&D?

You did forget at the end though; 'this happens in the books, why are you complaining?' despite the context being entirely different or the plot point no longer making sense in light of the changes that the show made (*cough* Shae and Tywin *cough*).

1. Jorah says to Daario,"Not idly to the leave of Lorien fall..."

2. Bran sees the events of the Tower of Joy...

3. If Stannis survives, it will only be for long enough to be sacrificed to bring Jon back and thus be consumed by fire...

4. Brienne will 'find' Sansa and Theon in the snow, because she's good at finding things. Sansa tells her to fuck off after it comes out she broke her vigil at the wrong time.

5. Heartbroken Brienne will head south to the Riverlands, conveniently, to find Jaime there. Because finding.

6. Sansa will marry Tormund to gain the loyalty of the Wildings as part of the effort to retake Winterfell. Thus she will become Jeyne Poole and Alys Karstark and named most valuable utility character for the series.

7. But Sansa's attempts to rally the North won't really matter once Jon comes back and leads the coalition to retake Winterfell.

8. Cersei's descent into madness will be caused by the Walk of Shame, not the other way around.

9. Dany will monologue the Dothraki into submission, because Dragons, and set off with her Khalassar to Westeros.

10. Tyrion will unite Slavers Bay under his just rule, and with the guidance of his new, hot, High Priestess squeeze head with the Armies of Slaver's Bay to Westeros to fulfill his destiny as the Prince that was Promised.

Sansa will marry tormund - too clever won't happen

The sad thing is I'm only half-joking with that prediction. I could totally see it happening. Season 7 she gets to be Val? Alysane Mormont?
