Do you have them, too?You read how this and that person (or many) like character x or y and internally you go "WHYYYYY????" So, this is a thread to rant about not being able to comprehend other's preferences.Please BE CIVIL though! For me, it ALWAYS has been the Stannis-fanclub. How? Why? Just because he thinks he is "just"??IMO he is borderline pathological insane from the beginning. He kills his brother, he burns his brother-in-law,he sleeps with a demonic priestess, he thinks he is THE saviour and the personification of justice.Why would I support such a character? It all ended for me with killing his brother and other innocent men.I just cannot understand people who would like a person like this...urgh.(Please, don't let it become a discussion about the characters. Surely he must have known that spilling the beans to Cersei would lead to consequences. What did he expect ie that the Lannister will suffer annihilation with a smile on their face? I understand the appeal of all the other characters even the ones I don't like but I really don't get what people see in these two. There are actually people who support(ed) Tywin? I thought he was generally seen as (one of) the villain(s)? Because he was really stupid and evil but becomes more and more un-stupid and un-evil. So we could dive into the philosophy of ethics and whether good deeds and character change erase the bad deeds... But no. She's definitely not the typical fantasy heroine. She's a much more complex character. My answer would also be Stannis. At the end of dance every place in which she has freed the slaves has become markedly worse off than before. Even for the former slaves things are worse. Her saving the priestess sure it was compassionate but leads to UnDrogo and the loss of her child and from what I can tell a barren womb. This in itself makes me wonder how anyone could say that she should sit the Iron Throne. She's not immortal and will eventually die but she is incapable of bearing an heir which means in 50-60 years there will be another succession crisis in Westeros plunging the realm yet again into war.
