Did Ellaria just sign Trystanes death warrant?

So as we know Ellaria poisoned Myrcella, so it would seem pretty obvious that when they return to kings landing Cersie will be hell bent on exacting revenge. The obvious choice would be Trystane as he's Dorans son whom Cersie will undoubtably blame for whatever befalls her daughter.

And likewise what will this mean for Doran himself when he learns of it? Surely Ellaria will be killed?

I don't think Kevan would allow Trystane to be killed immediately. I think there would be a lot of diplomacy, a trial, etc. Who knows how much Cersei will have recovered from her WoS at the beginning of next season. I imagine it'll take a while for her to get her full queenly powers back.

Also, what an awkward boat ride back to King's Landing.

So much this.

I dunno, if I was Jaime I'd have turned around there and then. Tell Bronn if I'm not back in an hour or if anyone tries to board the boat, kill Trystane, tell Doran what happened and let him kill the Sand Snakes.

It's still a dornish boat, I doubt they're willing to obey Jaime's orders. Although if you really plan on killing Myrcella you should probably kill Jaime and Bronn too, and pretend the boat simply sank or was captured by pirates.

Yeah, it's a Dornish boat but it's not like the SS commandeered the crew. Hell, I'd even bet Trystane would be pissed at them and demanding revenge.

Well, according to most here on the forum Doran knew about the kiss of death, so someone on the crew could have been ready for what was to come.

I really don't see Jaime blaming Trystane and Doran Martell for Myrcella's death. It's also hard to imagine him sailing back to Kings Landing after being so close to the shores of Dorne (and also because that would almost certainly lead to Trystanes death and starting a war with Dorne which Jaime doesn't want). I think they head back to Dorne and with the blessing of Prince Doran, Bronn, Jaime, and maybe Areo Hotah go on a search for the Sand Snakes and Ellaria. Maybe Prince Doran forbids Trystane from going with them but he sneaks out anyway. I think Bronn is going to turn on Jaime eventually, you could see them building up Jaime being a dick to Bronn throughout last season:

* Snaps at him on the boat

* Sort of rubs in the fact that he has to do all the rowing

* Makes him bury the bodies

* Gloats at the fact that Areo Hotah is about to viciously elbow him in the face

* Other things I can't think of

If he is, I'll be super annoyed. For the whole season, we got zero indication that he was anything but a peace-loving Lannister loyalist. And to send your only child away on the boat with a dying princess and her volatile (if one-handed) father? What a terrible plan, and that isn't even thinking about what Cersei will do when they get to KL.

I feel like this situation will eventually get him into Dany's camp, or press him into revealing his true, Fire & Blood loyalties, but I don't think he was in on killing Myrcella.

Now watch me be wrong, haha

Maybe Doran did set up the kiss, but made sure Trystane had the antidote so he could heroically foil the murder. If Myrcella dies, she will not wear a golden crown to fulfill Maggy's prophecy, or maybe D&D aren't worrying about that detail. Not all prophecies are perfect. Personally, though, I prefer the idea that they will not go to King's Landing at all, but maybe to Meereen instead to do Quentyn's storyline.

This. So much this.

If Cersei ever regains an ounce of power, however, Trystane is in a bad place...

Book Doran is smart and he has informers everywhere. He was able to thwart Arianne's plot. It would be closer to the books if he has someone on the ship with the antidote. However, Myrcella must die, according to Maggy's prophecy. So maybe she is really dead. If so, Jaime should bring back Trystane and ask justice from Doran. Unless Doran is behind everything. Jaime may think so, but I don't believe Doran would endanger his son's life that way.

Whether it's explicitly his death warrant or not depends on what's up in Kings Landing and whose in power there, if that boat turns around, and Dorans reaction.

Regardless Ellaria doing what she did puts Trystane clearly in harms way, especially since she knows, at least a little, bit about Cersei.

It's truly a ridiculous plot point the show is going to blow past, but you know what I can't even get started on this.

You're probably right but the show isn't likely to even bring back Kevan unless its to just kill him off. He has zero influence.

Jaime will probably kill Trystane himself out of rage.
