(Spoilers) Jimmy Rustling End-Game Prediction

Disclaimer: I've read the books, and enjoy them as well as the show, and likely always will.

I see so many ideas being thrown around out there, especially after S5 ended, of what people think may go on/what they saw. This is my take (I feel it is extremely obvious, and I have no idea why I don't see more people saying this.)

1. Jon died, but will likely come back. His eyes may have changed color, but not to purple. HBO wouldn't bring in purple eyes/Targ eyes after running with blue with Dany. (Also, in her auditions, didnt they try purple contacts and nix them?)

2. Jon likely did not warg into Ghost. Only Bran has any warging ability so far out of the Starks+Jon (though this may change next season with Arya?) There has been no indication that Jon has the ability to warg so far in the series, and honestly, come on. Warging into Ghost? What do you think the wolf is, some flash drive? Yeah, magic, fantasy, etc... but it just is extremely deus ex machina/fantastical to say 'luckily, Jon warged into Ghost and saved his conciousness, etc.' I am 95% sure that won't be the case.

3. Dany is probably going to win, or she will win and die shortly after. Regardless, pretty sure shes going to win. Yes, I am 'Team Dany'. I also can smell a plot from a mile out, and I think most people should be able to if they are honest with themselves. If she doesn't win, I think Jon or Tyrion may end up on the throne as a result of her actions, though.

4. The WW/Others/Nights King won't win. Neither will Littlefinger, Varys, some ice-dragon Bran, the Lannisters, or, well, pretty much anyone else. See #3.

5. Yes, its cool to keep the audience on their toes and throw curveballs at them, and yes, I do realzie that it could happen with my predictions above, but if they did, there would have been almost no reason for the majority of filming time, character buildup, etc. Especially if they throw in a new plotline like Aegon, battle of Meereen, etc. Throwing new characters into a show like that would piss people off and invalidate much of the time spent working on the recurring cast.

Maybe I'm just being boring and not having any imagination, I don't know. But I feel like a -ton- of the predictions out there are pretty farfetched.

With only two seasons, maybe three if HBO wins the argument, there isn't time to introduce a new hero. Any new characters would be to support the existing main characters - Jon (I consider him on character hiatus, not dead), Dany and Tyrion. By assist I mean to define the story. But it may be that the main characters are, in the end, sacrificed for an existing but minor character who then takes the throne. Gendry would be interesting but I think he ends up being the one to forge Valarian steel and that will be very important.

Bran will be able to communicate in ways we don't yet understand. The GPS of Westeros. I have no idea (not a book reader) where this will go but I assume he'll be very present in this next season. He may factor in Jon's, er, resurrection..

Littlefinger will gain more power but lose in the end. Varys - now see, he's my boy so I have to say that he survives because his goal is not his own power but to move the chess pieces so that the one who sits on the throne will do best for the kingdom.

Ultimately I think Dany and Jon rule as one. One by fire, one by ice and create a balance that will keep the WW away.

Last thought - I hate musicals but if Bronn lives I wouldn't mind if he sang his lines from here on out. Just sayin'. :)

IMO no one will sit the iron throne after the last incest produced king/queen. Dany, Tyrion, Bran and Jon may all ally to defeat the WW, but the throne will never be occupied again.

That hunk of iron needs to be melted down and turned into a hundred plowshares.

Maybe I'm just being boring and not having any imagination, I don't know. But I feel like a -ton- of the predictions out there are pretty farfetched.

1. I would find it hard to believe they would introduce warging into the show for Jon this late in the game and with Melissandre at Castle Black, as much as people may hate it, Azor Ahai will be brought back to this world by Melissandre.

2. Ghost is MIA so it is unlikely (even if Jon could) that Jon will warg into Ghost.

3. Dany is not going to win. The visions at the House of the Undying show an abandoned throne and a gutted throne room. My guess is Cersei will tell Qyburn burn King's Landing to the ground after Tommen dies (he will die). Shortly after, Jamie Lannister will add Queen Slayer to his list of titles and will kill Cersei fulfilling the last of the prophecies. Jamie will not be able to prevent King's Landing from burning this time. Dany will probably die at the hands of Azor Ahai so Lightbringer can be reforged. Sorry Dany fans! She also has a vision of seeing Drogo and her son and the only way she is seeing them again is on the other side.

4. Nobody is going to win. The Night King will be banished or some sort of deal will be made to end the war. Littlefinger will get close, only to be slain by Sansa, who will find out Littlefinger is the reason Ned Stark lost his head. Bran will become the new Green Seer and Varys will survive because he is probably the most calculating character on the show. Tyrion will survive because he has come so far and endured too much not too. Jorah will fight valiantly, Jorah will fight nobly, Jorah will fight honorably and Jorah will die in the service of his queen (I think this will be Selmy in the books). The Boltons / Freys will get there justice in the end, I am just not sure what faction / factions will end them. Sadly, not sure about Arya. I would like to think she is going to get some more people off her list, but the Faceless Men may find her too much of a wildcard to be left alive. Sansa will live in the end and probably will become the Lady of Winterfell like she was meant to be. I believe the Tyrells will burn with the Faith Militant and the High Sparrow as Cersei burns King's Landing to the ground. I believe Aegon is a red herring or we would have heard from him by now. Anyone that thinks there is a happy ending in all of this hasn't been paying attention to the show or reading the books!

Indeed.

4. Nobody is going to win.

3. re the visions of the throne Room - most people assume it is snow falling around Dany and relate it to Winter, or Jon, or something - but it could also be ash and suggest that Dany herself destroys the IT whilst trying to secure it.

Not sure that Jamie will kill Cerise. He may do. So might Tyrion, or Stannis, or even Tommen - we just have no idea yet. I'd judge Jamie a less likely killer though, because a recurring theme in ASoIaF/GoTs is 'the things we love destroy us', not 'we destroy the things we love'.

4. Agree, or rather - victory will be in loss. The Game of Thrones itself is the antagonistic element in this saga, the IT the villain. Perhaps someone, like show Tyrion because the show genuinely seems to favour him, will work it out before the end and realise that only breaking it can fix it. Dany has already suggested she is on this path anyways, by wanting to break the wheel. Point being, resolution will come with that absolute destruction and not before - the characters are all too self invested and driven by their personal need to rule/prevail etc that they cannot grow, or be free, until those options are removed.

As much as I would love to see them in romantic relationship...this kinda of ending is just no-no. In a Disney version(happy, fairytale) yes Jon will end up with Dany and rulling together on Iron Throne. Not in this one. Their romance will be short,passionate...but tragic. Probably thisrelationship will result in their son or daughter.

What about the Greyjoys? I imagine they will reave what's leftover or the Iron Islands will get swallowed up by some massive tsunami.

Does the Iron Throne have to be the endgame? Only the first book is called "Game of Thrones". I see more of a Seven Kingdoms, self ruled - or reorganization of the kingdoms solution in the end - Westeros is going to be in complete chaos after the battle with the WW's, let alone from all these little "human" wars going on preceding it. Dany is only focused on the Iron Throne right now - as soon as she gets to the west, she is going to realize her claims on the throne are going to have to wait because there are much larger issues at hand.

I believe the vision she has in the House of the Undying, while she walks through a decimated throne room covered in snow is a premonition. I think it is potentially how she is going to find the place when she gets there. She may establish herself as a conquerer through her contribution to fight the WW's and ultimately win with her dragons. That may put her bottom on a throne, but the clout of that throne may not be worth much when all is said and done....this may be the bittersweet ending GRRM hints at.

I am a subscriber of the Jon is the hero theory, but I don't think Jon will ever sit a throne - whether it is because he dies in the process of being the hero, or simply realizes his leadership belongs out in the realm, not in a throne room.

Apologies, I didn't mean a romantic ending, yuck. I was thinking more in the lines of one in the south one in the north. I am not all sure there will be a throne to occupy at the end of all this.

Probably Dany and Jon become stories future Old Nan's tell the children to put them to bed. But not as a couple ;)

GRRM confirmed in many interviews that there will indeed be somebody on the Iron Throne in the end

Funny that so many think that Lyanna and Rhaegar got married when Rhaegar was married to someone else.

You can marry two people, especially as a Targaryen who defies conventionalities (i.e. Rhaegar). Elia being from super-sexually-liberal Dorne is the last to oppose. Also: marry Elia according to the one, marry Lyanna according to the other religion. I don't see a problem. We should not project too many of the rules of our own world onto ASOIF.

1) Consider: somebody correctly mentioned that not every story necessarily needs a / one hero. Despite this argument, I also think that Jon was built up as such

2) Gendry forging Valyrian steel is almost Cleganebowl awesome !!!1!

3) I don't know, this appears to be rather "Hollywood"-style to me. First, I think Jon is a self-sacrifice-type-a-guy and what will his nickname be: "the Bastard King" ?? Somebody also mentioned that Dany's story is less one of gaining the throne but rather one of "finding the house w/the red door" if you know what I mean

4) Agree on Bronn: he should sing a version of the Rains of Castamere :)

admittedly, the Greyjoys are sth in my personal "Endgame prediction" as well. I personally cannot see what these dudes are up to. Was watching Preston Jacobs videos on this. I don't agree with him but he convinces he that it could be possible that the Ironborn will not noecessarily end up fighting on the same side / split up in fractions.
