Really, really liking Wolf Alice and I KNEW their name came from an Angela Carter short story!!!!!!! LOVE Angela Carter and really digging this band. I linked this song in the last thread but I'm gonna link it again here because it's an excellent mix of rock, grunge and dreamy indie pop.

I've been listening to a lot of indie/less known stuff, some of which is incidentally part of the Life is Strange game soundtrack.

bought this game awhile ago, chapter 1, been meaning to play it. might give it a go soon as i got my laptop fixed and can play games again woohoo

Yeah, I think you mentioned that in the 'what is awesome today' thread after I said I played through Episode 2. I also played through Episode 3 and, if Episode 1 & 2 were a very respectable 9.5/10 for me, Episode 3 was 15/10, specificaly for the ending(and episode 4 is 99% sure coming at the end of this month).

Sorry to hear about the laptop, but I'm assuming you can listen to music on your phone or something. The songs I linked by Syd Matters, Message to Bears, Local Natives and Mud Flow are a part of the game's soundtrack, definitely check them out.

Ferrum, have you ever heard of The Gersch? They were a kind of weirdo doom metal band from Boston way back. Your post inspired me to dust of the old promo cd of theirs (the guitarist went on to join Isis), and I'm remembering how rad they were. Anyways, definitely think they'll be up your alley

Niiice punk infused proto-stoner weirdo doom!

This was my favorite of the stuff I heard on their Bandcamp.
