While I was rereading Victarion's chapters she started intriguing me.She is a present from Euron, but still Victarion tells her all his deepest thoughts and feelings. Avlonnic Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Some people have suggested the 'dusky woman' is wearing a glamor so she could be nearly anyone. When I first read the books, I thought the dusky woman was Euron's salt wife and he had placed her on the ship to spy on Victarion. Four times in the course of AFFC and ADWD, Victarion reminds himself that all of Euron's gifts are poisoned - and yet he still manages to bond with her as Euron, no doubt, knew he would. But this is the simplest explanation so probably too simple. Other posters have suggested that the dusky woman is associated with the warlocks that Euron captured. Her extreme reaction to Moqorro might be an indicator of the conflict between the R'hlorrites and the warlocks. One poster suggested that she is the mother of Dany's companion, Missandei, who also has dusky skin. Naath is frequently raided for slaves so it is not impossible, and it could set the stage for one of the 3 treasons that Dany will know per the prophecies - that is, where Missandei might betray Dany to Euron for her own mother (treason for blood.) Khaella Posted July 20, 2015 Share Posted July 20, 2015 I like that idea about it being Missandeis mother that would be interesting. I've read that she may be a Faceless Man. It was kind of tinfoil but really interesting. Either way she wasn't doing him any good with her healing. Also it would be a little crazy to think that she was Euron.
