But I grew up with soldiers, I learned how to die a long time ago. A badass speech from a guy ready to die for a good cause. but then Varys reminds him of his daughters and he looks like he's taken a punch in the gut. For me, that's the climax of that scene. Never get tired of those scenes. Favorite overall speech is Jaime to Catelyn: "What gods are those? The trees your husband prayed to? Where were the trees when his head was getting chopped off? TepidHands Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Inasmuch as I pretty much hated this past season, I did like Gwendolyn Christie's Brienne telling the story about the dance her father threw for her, and how that led to her following Renly. That and the Tarth look by Jaime were about all that was left of Season 3. Sigh. ETA: of course, that wasn't a speech. Very few speeches, good or no, in this show, thank the gods.
