From the last thread.

Drac - I'm lucky my hair is pretty versatile, at this length I can dry it in a pony tail and leave that in or take it out and both work. If I leave it out I wash, brush then scrunch and that works, I've got a half back pony tail, front twisted to the side with strands hanging out to frame my face that I do quite well, then there's the full on glam dos that my hairdresser can do for me.

The last time I did the half pony tail trying I combined it with my lowest cut dress because Brook and I were going to a party at the cafe the girl I'm chasing works at, see - nice hair, make up and boobs out = making a statement :p

Was in there again today and finally had some quiet to chat, she didn't say anything about that drink so naturally I freaked out like the hormonal teenager I am. Lucky I have Brook to tell me I'm being stupid, a conversation where I've just said I've had vertigo all week probably isn't signaling "yes I'll be wanting that date now". And her talking about her own family stuff is far from shutting me out, so I'm back from the edge now!

Melanzane in Italian means "Eggplant", and it has been used as a slur against people of color, but then it is pronounced Moolinyan - in Italian-American gangster movies.

I received a message with a couple of plum emojis, what does that mean?

"They're getting a nice bluish hue, gettin' ready to take 'em to the farmer's market."

What the hell is the eggplant emoji?

I think we call it aubergine?

Re the smoking girlfriend, because it's been bugging me for a while: I would never give up something I enjoy for someone else, and I would never expect my partner to do the same. While you could argue that smoking is bad for your health and so anything that makes you give up is good and blahblah, I'm also in the "do what you want to do" camp. Ain't nobody taking away my morning cigarettes :smoking:

You have to have a pretty high opinion of yourself to think an eggplant is the food that most closely resembles your junk.

Or a serious and immediate need for medical attention.

She didn't do it for me. The important thing, for me, is that she stopped. Not why she did so.

And the argument wasn't health, specifically. It was, mainly, the point that the smell is a massive turn-off for me.

Second date-thing with OKCupid guy went well, I think, although neither of us has actually made any kind of non-platonic move yet. We have been in public both times though. We're trying to sort out something for this weekend, so I guess we'll see what happens then.

I'm hopefully seeing the guy I've been crushing on for ages early next week. No idea what's going on there, to be honest, he always seems pleased when I get in touch but he hardly ever initiates contact. I keep telling myself to be over it already, and yet somehow...

I understand asking someone you care about to stop doing something that is hurting them, because you love them. My mother eats terribly, she is just not concerned about health at all and she eats what she likes because it tastes good. I want her to be happy but I keep on her to eat healthier because I hate to see her health deteriorating. I'm afraid she's going to get diabetes, and some day she'll start falling and breaking bones. It's for her own good that I want her to change. Of course, theguyfromtheVale only seems to want his ladyfromtheVale to stop because he hates the smell. He doesn't seem to indicate that he cares at all about her health and body.
