TeamRhllor
Jon never learns about Mormont's last words about the wildlings, which is weird because Sam never forgets something like that...

Ronfried_IV
What was he's last words again? I don't remember them :( I believe something about beeing wrong, that they are not the enemy... So not really anything what Jon didn't found out by himself. Maybe he told him offscreen
Visenya Stark
Here's the quote from Samwell II, ASOS: "You must. Must tell them." "Tell them what, my lord?" Sam asked politely. "All. The Fist. The wildlings. Dragonglass. This. All." His breathing was very shallow now, his voice a whisper. "Tell my son. Jorah. Tell him, take the black. My wish. Dying wish." "Wish?" The raven cocked its head, beady black eyes shining. "Corn?" the bird asked. "No corn," said Mormont feebly. "Tell Jorah. Forgive him. My son. Please. Go." I think the reason Sam never told Jon about Jorah is because he doesn't see any reason to. He told Jon about the other stuff, just not Jorah. Sam will probably only tell Jorah about what his father said (if they ever meet).
sarah.jenice
From reading the quote Visenya Stark provided, it seems to me Mormont intends for Sam to tell everyone at the Wall about the Wildling army marching on them. I'm pretty sure he does that, and Jon is even more familiar with it since he was integrated into it.
sweetsunray
Jeor's dying wish is for Jorah to take the black and that Jeor forgave him. What can Jon do about it? There's no reason to tell Jon. Sam must tell Jorah himself.
slant
@TeamRhllor you are right, he should have told Jon that
TeamRhllor
My apologies, the quote I was refering to may not have been when he was dying. Mormont to Sam: "We never knew! But we must have known once. The Night's Watch has forgotten its true purpose, Tarly. You don't build a wall seven hundred feet high to keep savages in skins from stealing women. The Wall was made to guard the realms of men and not against other men, which is all the wildlings are when you come right down to it. Too many years, Tarly, too many hundreds and thousands of years. We lost sight of the true enemy. And now he's here, but we don't know how to fight him."
KingStannisFan
Jorah's duty is to continue the Mormont line. He must marry and have a son.

But by the time Sam gets back, Jon already knows anyway, after his conversation with Mance before Stannis arrives, and his own experience of living with the wildlings. I'm pretty sure Jon has an internal debate after Sam left for the Citadel, asking himself what Mormont would have done or whether he would have approved of what he was doing. He wouldn't wonder that if Sam had told him.
