Is Dorne safe from WW's?

Assuming winters there don't have much of an impact. Can WW's go in to warmer climates?

Winter may not have an impact in Dorne, but I have a suspicion that the long night just might.

ETA: also, don't the ww bring the cold with them?

Yes it is known that they bring cold.

Dorne may be safe for a while but not forever. I am sure that while Ned was returning Arthur's sword all those years ago he probably mentioned that winter is coming...so they already know - at least at Starfall.

PS:. Will you still go by KingStannisFan if indeed our man let's his only child be burned alive in the real story? I was devastated.

PPS: thank you for mentioning DS9 in one of your other posts. Best Star Trek franchise ever. Still my go to show when I am home alone.

TBH only Westeros is  unsafe from white walkers.

White walkers can't swim all the way to Essos.

And I think they're too dumb to know how to use ships/boats

Nope, if you've read the World of Ice and Fire in the eastern (Yi Ti) Azor Ahai legend the long night and it's "ice demons" are described as well. It's probably a world wide event that will start in the North of Westeros because it is the most northern point known on the globe.

Of course Dorne isn't safe from them. The whole reason they're invading is to party on the beach with hot Dornish people. ;)

Even the Others love Dornish beach parties, it is known.

Serenading the Sand Snakes with Surfer Girl and Surfin' 7 K.

We'll all be plannin' out a route (inside, outside, heat's okay)

We're gonna take real soon (inside, outside, heat's okay)

We're polishing our platforms (inside, outside, heat's okay)

We gonna hit those dunes. (inside, outside, heat's okay)

We'll all be gone for the winterrrr. (inside outside, heat's okay)

We're on safari to stay. (inside, outside)

Tell Great Other we're surfin'

Is there any Essosi city name that rhymes with Kokomo by any chance?

I just spent a whole week trying to remember Val Kilmer's song about surfing in East Berlin from Top Secret, only to get home, watch the movie, and realize there is no such song.

But at least there is a song about surfing in Dorne. If you can get Val Kilmer to record this, I will be your best friend and love you forever and ever.

"Now, what's a matter, numbnuts,

ain't you gone to school,

the heat won't keep you safe (hey hey, take it away, it's gotta be a fight),

So be true to your ghoul (rah rah rah rah sis boom bah)

Just like you would to your spider or wight (rah rah rah rah sis boom bah)

Be true to your ghoul now (rah rah rah rah sis boom bah)

Be true to your ghoul (push 'em back, push 'em back, waaaaaaaay back)

So that's where they got the idea for Pet Sematary. Here I was thinking it was Steven King. Nope--ice spiders, reanimated horses. Should have seen it sooner.

If the walkers do make it to Dorne, am assuming ice snakes, yes?

DS9 isn't my favorite ST series, but it is really tough because I do of course love it.

I also think GOT and DS9 are two of the best war dramas ever, and DS9 really is the only Star Trek one that can fit that bill that way.

Only if the Others are defeated before they reach Dorne. I think they'll only reach the Trident but Dorne will suffer bad Winter weather.

Unless they freeze the sea and walk across it.

Not even your watergardens will withstand the trve kvlt frost of eternal winter...

The Water Gardens will be a skating rink is all.

Great minds think alike.  I couldn't remember how the verses went to that song but had be true to your ghoul.

You know, I've never heard Val Kilmer sing, is he any good?

When aping or parodying other people's styles, he's amazing. (Most famously, during filming of The Doors, Robby Krieger and John Densmore got into an argument about whether Kilmer's "The End" was better than Jim Morrison's, which was resolved when they realized they'd mixed up the two versions.) He was also pretty good as Moses in the Ten Commandments musical. On his own album, the music is pretty bland and uninspired, so it's hard to judge how good the vocals are.

But anyway, if you've never heard him sing, just go watch Top Secret. It's got one of the stupidest plots ever (to the extent that it even has one), and it has no Leslie Neilsen, but it's still as funny as Airplane or Police Squad, so it's worth 90 minutes of your time.
