Jaemi Chinaski-Stark
I came across an ongoing series of books that totally go at least some of the way to taking the edge off my white knuckle anticipation to find out exactly what's crackin' with Jon Snow! It's the Wars Of The Roses by Conn Iggulden. They're, like, non-fiction history text-books written as historical fiction novels. There's two volumes up to now; Stormbird and Trinity, and because, as we know, GRRM was inspired by this period, the similarities make it a nice stop-gap. The writing itself is ok, totally readable, so I'd definately recommend it to anyone out there as impatient as I am. I was a little disappointed, being a lapsed Yorkshire-man, that (**SPOILERS**) Richard of York is definately NO Eddard Stark, so the specific parallels betwixt House York and House Lancaster end with the names.... Darth Richard II
No.
Nuncle Stark
I'm a fan of the series as well! Great stuff, although sadly lacking in dragons and magic. But did you finish that post? The elipses at the end was suggestive...
Jaemi Chinaski-Stark
Oh, no; I just like the (forced) mystery it implies.
