Martini Sigil
The reveal of season 1 was kind of silly to me....manikins?.... really? .... but overall it was not enough to chase me away.... I'll be back for season 2..... and Nora = Giggity

Ferrum Aeternum
This show improved massively as it went along. The last few episodes were some of the best TV I watched all year. Very interested to see where they take the story.
Humble AK
Looking forward to it. Last season was so hysterically over-the-top with ridiculous, onanistic misery and empty self-importance that I found it entertaining and hilarious. Hopefully this season is even more fun and absurd. Freshwater Spartan
I saw the first couple of episodes of season 1 and I liked it. But at the time I didn't have HBO so I didn't get any further. I read the book which was great and I am interested in season 2 because it doesn't seem to follow the book from the glimpses in the previews. I now have HBO. Do I need to see the rest of season 1 or can I just jump into season 2?
Humble AK
I don't know why you would want to skip season 1 because season 1 is really entertaining (no HBO GO?), but yeah, I think you could. The plot is novelistic rather than episodic, but it's by no means deep or complicated. It's just people brooding at each other for the most part. For season two they are doing essentially a soft reset on the story, so that should be sufficient to easily grasp what's going on if you're a newcomer. And reading the book obviously helps. The show mostly follows the book, and only departs to sex up the action.

There's a couple episodes midseason (Two Boats and a Helicopter & Guest) that are absolutely fantastic. It really finished strong as well.
Freshwater Spartan
I'll see what I can do. I only asked because neither my library or local video store has gotten season 1 and I don't see it available as an option on my on demand selections. I'll see if I can get HBO go working somehow. Igziabeher
So is Garvey's father not in it this year? His craziness helped make season 1, and what of the National Geographic magazine he was pushing on his son?

Nictarion
Papa Garvey is back, thank god.I'm guessing that's the first episode before they leave town. Not sure he'll be in much unless they take him with them, with seems unlikely.
dbunting
Season 1 had just enough craziness and creepiness to keep me interested.
