Thread title is open for suggestions, as always.

Regarding football, I must say I was shocked to see Vojvodina beat Sampdoria in Turin (Sampdoria's pitch is being changed or something, so they had to play in another stadium) 4-0.

They have finished fourth in Serbian league, which is definitely not a proof of quality.

Other than that, it was nice seeing both sets of fans paying tribute to Vujadin Boskov, who's played and managed both teams and passed away last year.

EDIT:

Here are the goals from that match.

An interesting thing is that no foreign players played for Vojvodina's in this match (including 3 substitutions), and that they focused on giving their Academy players a shot.

Rapist watch: Nile Ranger, having somehow had his contract extended by Blackpool despite not turning up there in the seven months he's officially been with them, turned up for pre-season training and was told by the manager to fuck right off. He has the brass balls to be complaining about this.

I don't know who you're rooting for in your league, baxus, but congrats for this win. I'm really glad it happened. Seems like Sampdoria underestimated Vojvodina completely, but then again, against Sampdoria, so would I. That's good news, at least, after all that bullshit with Crvena Zvezda.(how are the rest of your clubs doing in Europe?)

I'm not really rooting for anyone in our league, since our league is crap, corrupt and players' agents and managers have way too much influence on every single aspect of the game.

Partizan plays against Steaua Bucharest in Champions' League third round qualifiers, after first leg it's 1-1, second leg is to be played in Belgrade.

Crvena Zvezda is already out of Europa League, knocked out by Kazakhstan club 4-1 on aggregate.

Čukarički (the ONLY club in our top flight to have paid their employees, players included, in full last season) have been knocked out by Azerbaijan opponents.

And, of course, we've already covered Vojvodina. ;)

So Di Maria to PSG? Gotta say I feel pretty dumb for saying Real should have kept him instead of buying James last summer but maybe he will regain some of his old form in Paris.

I think he would have been fine if he stayed at Madrid.

Yeah probably I just remember saying last summer that Di Maria was better and then last season happened. :/

Also Rickie Lambert looks to be off to West Brom with Benteke snagging his number nine shirt

You might be underselling your league, though it's understandable why. I mean, our league is also very corrupt and seeing Zdravko Mamić and his brother out free is really jarring. I do support Hajduk in spite of it all, even if they aren't saints by a long-shot. And they won against Stromsgodset yesterday playing some really nice football by our standards against a very defensively oriented opponent, especially because the average squad age is something like 20.7 years.

Dinamo's team, on the other hand, is a far stronger team on paper, but since the coach is Zdravko's brother and he's also a shit coach, they play embarassingly poorly in Europe. Dunno what happened to Rijeka to lose 0-3 at home against Aberdeen, but they've started their season in general astonishingly badly.

It seems that players of Legia Warszawa were stoned by rival fans during their away game in Albania.

One of the players was hit in the head, needed bandages (and probably stitches) and the game was brought to an early end.

Sending our national team to Tirana in the near future doesn't really seem like a good idea, does it?

Theo Walcott signed a new contract with Arsenal and seems to have gotten a nice raise up to 140k a week. He's a monster at getting raises without much production. If he can stay healthy, he's probably worth it, but he's definitely not being paid for his past contributions but more what he'll be able to give Arsenal between the ages of 26-30. Think this means there is little chance we bring in a new striker and that Walcott will get a lot of opportunity to lead the line when Sanchez returns.

In addition to Walcott, Arsenal also gave new contracts to Cazorla and Monreal, both of whom actually earned theirs. Very interested to see how Wenger fits Cazorla, Coquelin, Ramsey and Ozil into the same side without Ramsey playing on the wing.

Adebayor will be on loan at Villa for the final year of his contract, needing to earn a new contract. Guaranteed 20 goals from him then. Add him to your fantasy team and thank me later.

Walcott must have a genius agent. He had one stand-out season with 21 goals (when he was negotiating his last contract) and otherwise has averaged 10 goals a season. But now he'll be paid the same as Ozil and Sanchez, despite not being able to get into the first XI late last season.

I don't think so. But Rio is one of the main pundits (along with Lineker and Humphreys) and the likes of Gerrard, the Redknapps, Owen, Hoddle and Howard Webb will be involved.

Souness is the only one I liked from the Sky team, he's obviously not going to be around either. There's no one in that BT sport team that I want to listen to - maybe Keown, but certainly not the likes of Redknapp and Lineker ( who might as well say nothing most of the time)

Pretty excited about the game tomorrow - a win would be nice, though I wouldn't care too much if we did lose - as long as we put in a good performance.

It's still weird to me how Scholes, a player known for being shy and impossible to find for media purposes in his playing days, will now not shut the fuck up.

Neville is still the best pundit going right now, by a stretch. Gary, obviously, not Phil.
