Dany Can't Have More Dragons

pretty sure Aemon said dragons don't have gender which is how he comes to the conclusion that they misinterpreted the prophecy.
I don't recall any description of Drogon's pink mast either

Reptiles don't have exposed genitals…
And I am sure he said something about dragons changing gender, not anything about having none. I may be wrong.

Hm. Some believe dragons change their sex, but I don't know. There have been consistently dragons that laid eggs and dragons that simply did not. But the thing is… there's no sexual dimorphism, so the only way to know if a dragon is female is when it lays a clutch of eggs.

It would be fitting if Rhaegal turns out to be female.

You gotta pay the troll toll, to get inside KingStannisFan's hole...

lol, nice "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" reference.

That's an interesting title for the topic, OP.

Dragons changing gender is something new to me. All the dragons we know of had gender, didn't they? So you say dragons can change gender based on...?

I probably missed that so thanks for pointing it out :-)

AFFC:

"What fools we were, who thought ourselves so wise! The error crept in from the translation. Dragons are neither male nor female, Barth saw the truth of that, but now one and now the other, as changeable as flame."

Dragons are mentioned by sex, yup, but that's because they exist as male or female for a certain period of time. It could be that Balerion was male for the most of his life but transitioned into female for a few years and then back again. It could be the dragons mentioned by sex never transitioned at all. What is important is that dragons change sex.

I imagine much like those African frogs in Jurassic Park they are male or female but can change gender if necessary for the continuance of the species.

Balerion could be male his whole life as long as either Vhagar or Meraxes (or both) were female.
