But it could easily be said that dragons are also not that invincible. They had been slain before like serwyn did for Urrax and had been extinct for about centuries. On the other hand, white walkers seem to relishing on their army of the dead with few for their commanding whitewalkers.wights are witless dumb creatures like zombies that could be disposed of by fire. Since the night's king is said to be the 13 th lord commander of the night's watch , there are chances that he could be aware of the dragon's weaknesses which make the dragons vulnerable. Viserion and Rhaegal are smaller than Drogon and even he is pretty small, Dany can ride on him, but could an armored knight? Unlike Drogon, they have been locked away which hampered their growth and has made them somewhat wild. How would dragons react to extremely cold temperatures? Would they even willingly fly into an ice storm or an area that has arctic temperatures? Sure, Drogon can fly around toasting wights, but that would probably be a pretty small dent in the undead forces. We haven't seen the Others use any sort of projectile weapons yet, but I assume they have something. If Drogon can be hurt by regular spears, why not an ice spear? If the dragon fire is bad for Others, you have to assume that the ice they wield is bad for dragons. It only takes one dragon to fall in battle to screw things up for the dragons in a major way. If one falls and is immediately made into a dragon wight then the only advantage the dragons had, being able to stay above the battle, is taken away. Plus, the other dragons might react badly to seeing one die and come back against them. If Dany is leading them, she might be horrified by this as well. I could definitely see her retreating upon seeing a dragon fall, be raised, and then turning against her. Now if it was Balerion, it would be a different story. Apart from personal opinion which everyone on a public forum dedicated to a subject matter they clearly enjoy should have, accusatory statements like that really don't help you get across your point. And I'm 99% sure that Dany is going to die in childbirth and not end up ruling anyone based on the MMD prophecy. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before. Since I'm pretty sure Kahl Drogo is not coming back from the dead, this means that when Dany bears a living child, she will die in childbirth and be reunited with Drogo. Please tell me how Dany is supposed to be sterile when she clearly had a miscarriage at the end of ADWD. Only Dany thinks she is sterile, the prophecy only said that when she bears a living child Kahl Drogo will return to her, which I take to mean she will die in childbirth. And your statement is an oxymoron, how can sterility be a prophecy? It would just be a statement of fact and make the other 2 parts of the prophecy meaningless. Long Night 1.0 fucked up the world and the seasons and ruined the balance in nature. Hopefully Jon will fix things. GRRM has said repeatedly he hates the whole classic evil trope like Sauron and the ugly orcs and all the good guys have to team up to fight the obvious 100% evil bad guy, so I doubt the Others are pure evil, and I doubt it will be a one-sided victory for the Dragons in the end. Anyway, I still think dragons would be the way to go . What do u suggest?? Only GRRM knows for sure, but I think that ultimately it will come down to the Dany T and the Dragons vs the Others. I feel like the others are not what they seem and that Dany is indeed a nut, so I say the Others ( + Jon, Samwell and the Maesters secrets) will prevail. Plus it can't be said one way or the other whether or not their is an ice dragon on the side of the others, or any other supernatural forces. There is a large amount of knowledge about Dragons capabilities and weaknesses in co parison to the Others, which we know almost nothing about the limits to their capabilities.
