Courtesy of Los Siete Reinos, today we have a huge update on Game of Thrones season 6 shooting in Spain. We’ve also received some casting breakdown information from our own sources that involves the same site.

Using their local sources, Los Siete Reinos has been able to identify what Game of Thrones locations cities will be standing in for, this year. Game of Thrones production has been busy this week with costume fittings for extras and as the show gets ready to film in the area, some secrets have slipped out.

Most excitingly, their sources have confirmed that, as suspected by many, the Castillo de Zafra in Campillo de Dueñas will be playing the part of the Tower of Joy.

What do people think the chances are Sean Bean is asked to come back for this scene?  I think they could pull it off with a lot of makeup and some CGI. :)

I don't know, maybe 10 or 15 years ago such a backflash aging on Sean Bean might have worked, I'm not so sure now.  I'm wondering if they'll use him for voicing of the character, though, or just look for a young guy who can do a good impersonation of him?

I'm looking for Chris Hemsworth (Rhaegar Thorgaryen <3) but whatever... we need a Rhaegar at some point. I mean, Lyanna didn't shut herself there, right?

Why would they cast Rhaegar? He wasn't at the tower of joy unless they have a flashback within the tower of joy flashback but that's too much, more probable are just references to Rhaegar like Ned mentioning that robert killed rhaegar and maybe even adding that jamie killed Aerys ans so on and so forth

...because Rhaegar Targaryen is the most important character and pretty much every other event happened because of him?

It would be stupid to have flashbacks of Ned as a kid but no flashbacks of Rhaegar and Lyanna, even just one (Rhaegar discovering Lyanna is the mystery Knight, Rhaegar marrying Lyanna before a Weirwood tree (?), Rhaegar asking Lyanna to run away with him etc.) If we are getting R+L=J then it would be nice to see some interaction between his parents to flesh out the story. If they are planning on doing a Robert's Rebellion prequel series then I can understand why they would hold back, though.

However, I get the feeling that D&D fall into the category of "Jon is Ned Stark junior, it doesn't matter that Rhaegar is his father" fans so this will be Ned's story. Maybe that is too harsh, we will have to wait and see.

Show of hands..............how many will be surprised if D&D don't turn the Tower of Joy into some type of Orgy?

Or LF will be there telling Rhaegar to slap Lyanna's ass.

Wait, I know. The Tower of Joy was the first THE Brothel. Then he turned it into a franchise.
