Lily Valley Posted August 27, 2015 Share Posted August 27, 2015 Scot, I just need to get everyone on a housework schedule and FORBID them from bringing anything else into the house. There's two tables in the front room that fit nowhere and someone brought home a double stroller and it is now taking up most of the torn out kitchen. Why, you ask? I have NO IDEA. I walked through going "WTF?????????" House meeting tonight. I am going to explain in detail how to use a vacuum cleaner and everyone is cleaning one room per day. Worldcon Report: Tuesday: Rode in with the Devil Bunny Express after a detour to see the sights in North Bend. Went to Twede's Cafe for a meal and coffee and cherry pie. Saw the lodge and the falls. Wednesday morning: Set up for a first night activity in the park with the other NOLA reps. Choked on ash in the park for 4 hours while helping little children (and big children) decorate Mardi Gras masks. Thanks to all who stopped by! Did something Wed night. It involved alcohol, talking and flirting with all y'all. Thursday morning: Woke up late and didn't have time to change for tubing. Went down river in a dress. It was very comfortable. Only had a few mishaps myself, but chafed my arms by chasing after the cooler tube. This was my only day off, so I refused to nap (unwise) and power drank all day. Evening culminated into going to karaoke where I butchered GnR and vaguely remember getting walked back to my room. I think I was trying to fall asleep on Ser Cam's floor. (thank you kind escort) I am proud to say I wore the crown of incredible drunkenness all day long. Friday: Woke up drunk and went shopping for NOLA party supplies, set up for the party and threw it with much help from the BwB. Thank you all for helping me so much! I was so hungover by 3pm the vitamin sample guy from CostCo kept trying to push electrolytes on me. Saw George's interview. Saturday: Went to an actual panel. Vonda McIntyre's interview. She is awesome. Set up and threw the NOLA 2018 party. Hit a wall and was slammed around 11pm. Rescued once again by the BwB who worked for a solid half hour to get me out of the woods. Thanks to Ser Knight Sommerville for guest bartending. Sunday: Said goodbyes. :( Held a late dead dog bathrobe party on the mezzanine. Drank an unwise portion of alcohol. Monday: Didn't get up until 2pm. Missed the last of the farewells. Had a bite with the last 3 standing members and then packed to catch an early flight. Next year I am going to more than two panels.
