GollanczFest 2015 - 17th October in London

Recommended Posts

Posting a new thread for this as it was taking over the general London thread a little bit.

So who is coming to the GollanczFest? There is an event in Manchester on the evening of the 16th, but work clashes, so instead I'm coming down to London, so do we want to make a meet of it as well?

To repeat what I said in the other thread, I'll be going to this.

I think the Gollancz event finishes at 6, so I guess we could head to a nearby pub afterwards (or alternatively go get something to eat).

I think the nearest tube station should be Picadilly Circus on the Picadilly Line.

Thanks William. :) Sounds like a plan going back together Dracarya!

I've bought tickets (and they're going fast, Room 1 is sold out), so I have rather more firmly committed to this shenanivent.

Coolios. I couldn't decide, Rm 1 or Rm 2, so I bought one of each! If, once they release what they're doing in each Rm, if there is one I'm clearly going to prefer, I'll release the other back so somebody else can buy it, but for now, I've covered myself to flit between rooms. :)

Looking at last year the difference is merely which authors are in the room at any one time and what they're doing. All authors will appear in both rooms across the day, but they may only do a reading (if they do a reading at all) in one room: for example last year Patrick Rothfuss did his reading in room 1 and then his solo talk and Q&A in room 2.

Ah fair enough. Sophie just said the line-up is the same (more info please?!), so I got tickets for room 2.

I wonder how many books I've got to drag into London for this event
