Blunt Talk (new series starring Patrick Stewart)

Recommended Posts

Whether you have access to the Starz channel or not, the first two episodes of the acerbically witty comedy series starring Patrick Stewart has shrewdly been made available to view in their entirety to help generate buzz. Stewart is nothing short of a revelation. I mean, I knew the man could act, but I had no idea that he possessed such incredible comedic chops.

NOTE: There's definitely an intentional 'Network' (1976), Howard Beale-sian vibe to Stewart's character, and it's no accident that the call letters of the network he appears on in the show (UBS) are the same as those of the featured network that Beale works for in said Oscar-winning masterpiece.

For me, Mr. Robot is the best dramatic series to debut in 2015, and right now, I'd have to say that Blunt Talk has immediately established itself as a strong contender for the year's best new comedic series.

See, I was hoping this was where we talk about our feelings about Emily Blunt. The old bait and switch pulled me in.

There is a perfectly fine Edge of Tomorrow thread showcasing how pretty much every dude in there (myself included) basically wants to put a ring on her finger.

He's one of the brighest spots of American Dad. He is incredibly funny in it as Agent Bullock.

Stewart is awesome.
