I have no idea how the matrix even produces its results. I don't think I've actually ever found what I'm looking for. I'll give you an example. I'm trying to find the latest thread for the TV series Hannibal. When I search for "hannibal" among all forums,I get 8 threads, all of them completely unrelated When I search for "hannibal" in the Entertainment forum, I get 2 threads, also completely unrelated. When I search for "hannibal" among all forums, and search exclusively in titles, I get 39 threads. Two of them are about the TV show, but both years old. The newest, and active, thread is no where to be found. When I search for "hannibal" in the Entertainment forum, and search exclusively in titles, I get 10 threads. Two of them are the same old threads as above. Again, the active thread is no where to be found. Anyone got any advise on how to master the search engine? Linda Posted August 24, 2015 Share Posted August 24, 2015 We recently switched to a new index since the default method kept locking up the forum by being too resource-intensive. It is possible that there's some more tuning that can be done, though I am not certain. If not, it is unfortunately the best option, at least for now.
