Personalized License Plates: The Good, the Bad and the just plain Stupid

Recommended Posts

Been a while since we had this topic.  I love creative plates, but there are certainly some creative fails out there. (Although I could never think of anything clever enough to have on my plates)

I saw one today that had me thinking "THIS is why we don't let 12 year olds drive!"  CARGASM  seriously?  I would have taken a picture, but the light turned green before I could get my phone out of my purse.

So share some that you have seen or that you have or whatever.

We bought my friend something like C7HULHU for his 40th, that was ok. Another friend has a few variations on things like M8 MXY after they had a kid called Maxy, which is sweet but also kinda shit :dunno:

Because of the predictability of the UK license plate system, there are a number of great options for subtle vanity plates. The standard format is: LL[YY] LLL, where L is a letter and YY is the last two digits of the year (you also see the same but with the year +50, for some reason). That means that for a while I could have tried to get something like RO13 ERT, which would be within the standard scheme and also my first name. Sadly I didn't buy a car in the appropriate time frame :(.
