Last year someone maintained a single page overview of all casting and season information, as nobody has done this so far I am willing to give it a go but would appreciate if everyone can help in case I have missed anything/placed incorrect information. Returning cast from earlier Seasons

(Catelyn Stark / Lady Stoneheart)

Where has this information been confirmed at all?

Also, there's Ian McShane's casting in an unconfirmed role (but it's Randyll Tarly), and Max von Sydow as the recast Bloodraven.

I fear there will be no Lady Stoneheart...so who knows what the f*** Brienne is gonna do now. But still, I have a good feeling about this season, there are good chances that is gonna be much better than season 5, the Greyjoys plotline can still be something epic ... even though book readers are not gonna be 100% okay with GoT anymore for all the irremediable changes D&D have made.

Some new info about Jaime, Arya and Theon next season along with more Greyjoy info! Damphair yeah!!

Is it bad when I saw this that my first thought was they'll turn Sansa into a salt wife? haha

Probably Theon will be the antagonist for Euron with the help of Asha/Yara. Arya will meet with Jaime and we can watch hanged Freys by "Noone"

:agree:  Yes, this! I think this would make sense and would streamline the show by using existing characters instead of introducing new ones (LSH, Victarion) which the the show likes to do.  Whether this is a good decision and if they can successfully pull off these glaring changes in a way that makes sense to the narrative and is consistent with character arcs is the real question.

Alas, Rory McCaan is NOT yet confirmed. But I hold high hopes that he will be!

There's some new on that here:

You ready for it?
Okay.
I’ve heard from a source whom I trust, who has provided us reliable information going back several years, that Rory McCann was seen recently staying at a hotel in Belfast commonly used by HBO and Game of Thrones cast members during filming.

Currently, McCann has no other projects scheduled, or any other reason to be in Belfast that we’re aware of. Book readers have their theories as to how the Hound- or rather, Sandor Clegane might return. But it wouldn’t be the first time Game of Thrones has diverged from the original story if they choose a different version for the return of Sandor Clegane.

No, McShane will not be playing Tarly and I would bet $10,000 on that.  If he was playing Tarly HBO would have announced it, but they haven't.  They have announced Bloodraven, Euron, Dickon, and some minor ones, but if McShane was Tarly they would have announced it.  McShane is most likely playing Septon Meribald, with an outside chance of the Elder Brother or Marwyn(this is highly unlikely)

Yeah it's unlikely that McShane will play Randyl Tarly purely based on the fact that Tarly's role is described as "a very good part" next season and "centrally involved in a protagonist's storyline" while McShane was confirmed for a role with "relatively little screen time". Those just don't line up. I agree with your predictions for Meribald, EB or Marwyn.

Hear me now, listen to me later! McShane's Sam's dad. ;-)

Well, since Melisandre burned Shireen to melt the snow only one of Theon / Sansa could survive the jump - the one who landed on top of the other (no pun).

She only melted the snow that was in the way of them getting there. The place they jumped was clearly still full of snow.
