Bloodshot eyes for 1 month+?

Heyo.

So I have bloodshot eyes all the time since a month. Sometimes it's worse, sometimes it's less.

Thought it was allergies so I have gotten oral antihistamines and since 4 days also eyedrops.

They do help a little... (though not sure if the eyedrops work)

It's totally out of the blue and the only cause I can think of is that I have a fan since like 2 months constantly blowing to my left side while on the computer, because it's hot most days ine summer.

When I am outside it doesn't seem to get worse, in fact, it get's a little better.

I am going to try to live without the fan for a week, if that doesn't cure it I don't know...

Any thoughts?

Also got some light grey patches on the white of my eyes but the doctor didn't seem concerned about those.

No vision problems, not more than usual at least (near sight, but that I already had), I do have itching but very little. Watery eyes... somewhat yes.

You should see a specialist.

My first thought was: Are you wearing contact lenses?

Nope, no lenses.

I do have glasses but I wear those only occasionally. I try not to strain my eyes even so.

You think a specialist will have the answer? :P Just hope I don't have some eye disease. (21 years old btw)

Ah. Right.

And you should wear your glasses. Definitely. Because you strain your eyes in not wearing them.

And yeah, a specialist will have the answer.

I should get new glasses though.... these are 3 years old, they work well however.

Just don't want to visit doctors anymore.... so tired of it. But it has to be done.

Hit me up if you want to talk about it. I'm not kidding about that.

Those white spots alarm me. And yeah, you should get your eye sight checked as well.

Those light grey spots don't seem to be alarming, googled them many times.

I don't really want to talk, just want answers :D But thanks for the nice gesture

Are your eyes maybe too dry? Is the weather drier in the summer where you are? And also the fan would make your eyes drier on top of dry weather.

Not sure, live in the Netherlands so it isn't that dry at all.

Though the place where I live is pretty green. (behind my house there is a park with a lot of tree's brushes, grass etc.)

Bloodshot eyes point to eye dryness.

See if artificial tears would help.

They're just eye drops which are very easy to apply.

Even if they don't solve your problem, they could cause absolutely no harm as long as you follow instructions on how to use them.

Thanks, will also look into that.

That's the link n my first post, artificial tears. Regarding the climate, even if it's not super dry, but drier than you're used to; drier than previously. And if this is the case, the fan will only make it worse. :)

Aha funny. :P I am not natively Dutch anyway. But am fully integrated into the society and speak it better than most Dutch people. Without accent.

I see.

Well, when I began to learn to speak Dutch (voluntarily! I taught myself) I had a friend in the pipe smoking community. And I asked him to lend me his book and read out a passage to him. He was quite surprised because he said, "You sound like a Dutch child learning to speak his mother tongue."
