King Blackwood
I read Dreamsongs last month, and really enjoyed GRRM's short fiction, especially the stories set in his future history, the Thousand Worlds. I tried to find a full list of his Thousand Worlds stories, but I couldn't find one. I was really surprised there wasn't a wiki haha It seemed to me that there's a wiki for absolutely everything. Anyways, I know of the novels: Dying of the Light Tuf Voyaging The stories in Dreamsongs: The Hero With Morning Comes Mistfall A Song for Lya This Tower of Ashes And Seven Times Never Kill Man The Stone City Bitterblooms The Way of Cross and Dragon Sandkings Nightflyers The Glass Flower I listened to StarshipSofa's audiobook/podcast of Men of Greywater Watch. I also know of: Starlady In the House of the Worm Are there others? Does anyone have a comprehensive list?
Ser Scot A Ellison
Ryan, I don't think "Fastfriends" is. There is no mention in any of the other works of the "Fastfriends".
King Blackwood
GRRM mentioned in Dreamsongs that the Second Kind of Loneliness and his other (two other?) space ring stories were their own continuity and not part of the Thousand Worlds. King Blackwood
I don't have my copy with me, but I am sure. Later, I might be able to post a quote.
Maltaran
Anyone know whether Windhaven is officially in the Thousand Worlds or not? I didn't even know there were other space ring stories. There's one called Nor The Many-Colored Fires Of A Star Ring, which is in the Nightflyers collection.
williamjm
Anyone know whether Windhaven is officially in the Thousand Worlds or not? I've a vague memory that the original colony ship might have been from one of the Thousand Worlds, but I might be misremembering. There's one called Nor The Many-Colored Fires Of A Star Ring, which is in the Nightflyers collection. I think George said he had an idea for another one but never found time to write it. Richard Writhen
I have to look up his other stuff. Even if its just for referential purposes. I've only read ASOIAF. :dunno:
Darth Richard II
Windhaven is part of it I believe.

Skinchanging Sweetrobin
I read Dreamsongs last month, and really enjoyed GRRM's short fiction, especially the stories set in his future history, the Thousand Worlds. I also know of: Starlady In the House of the Worm Are there others? Does anyone have a comprehensive list? From what I can tell, there are 21 stories in 1000 worlds: 1) "A Song for Lya" 2) "And Seven Times Never Kill Man" 3) "Bitterblooms" 4) "Dying of the Light" 5) "In the House of the Worm" 6) "Men of Greywater Station" 7) "Nightflyers" 8) "Sandkings" 9) "Starlady" 10) "The Glass Flower" 11) "The Hero" 12) "The Stone City" 13) "The Way of Cross and Dragon") 14) "This Tower of Ashes" "Tuf Voyaging" 15) "The Plague Star" 16) "A Beast for Norn" 17) "Guardians" 18) "Call Him Moses" 19) "Loaves and Fishes" 20) "Manna from Heaven" 21) "Second Helpings" While other stories may be secretly in the 1000 worlds, these 21 are absolutely part of it. Anasûrimbor
I didn't even know a thing like this existed. Is GRRM's Thousand Worlds like Sanderson's Cosmere?
Maltaran
I didn't even know a thing like this existed. Is GRRM's Thousand Worlds like Sanderson's Cosmere? Not really, it's a sci-fi setting which is the background for a lot of his pre-ASOIAF short fiction - the Thousand Worlds are the planets that have been colonised by humanity.
