Texas Hold Em
Who among the characters would make good poker players? List your top ten picks (don't worry, you won't be playing against them).
Universal Sword Donor
Me. I'd play against any of them. They don't know the rules. It'd be real easy
Daevyd Targaryen
Any of the Faceless Men. Trained in how to read people, and keep their own faces a mask. Simple.
pigpiginsunspear
I'd say LF- he's good at math, can read people, plans ahead, can manipulate.
Sullen
Unoriginal answer, but Littlefinger, Varys, and Illyrio.
ASOIAF_Ali
Definitely think Littlefinger takes the cake on this one. Probably Tyrion would be good too.
Cashless Society
Pycelle (seriously, think about it), Varys & Stannis. Illyrio & Littlefinger should not even be considered as they have terrible poker faces.
Sambo Shaw
As a part-time, small-stakes professional (I'm a teacher, but play once or twice a week during the school year, 4 times a week during the summer, in games with $200-$600 buy-ins) I can say who I wouldn't want to play against. Littlefinger: already well-stated above. However, he does take a lot of risks, and make moves to try to confuse people. This kind of player can get exploited sometimes. Tyrion: He's smart, he reads, good at cyvasse, and has enough issues with his family to want to prove himself. He'd probably become really good, really fast. Melisandre: Too good at seeing the future. Bronn: he's such a survivor. I see him being a solid, low-stakes grinder. He wouldn't be dangerous, but he wouldn't be bad, either. Jaqen H'ghar: Always composed, disguises himself easily. He'd be hell on wheels. I'd love to play against: Cersei (she'd overestimate her abilities and make huge mistakes), Dany (same thing as Cersei)
