purple-eyes
Even for Orcs we have Sauron there. And also several renowned generals for him. I bet others, who is the "ice" side of the ultimate war, had to have some sort of leader or king. Who will be this person?

Balerion the kitten
I didn't even think, or consider the possibility of someone leading the others until I started looking about this forum. The options available sound good to me. Just please, oh please, don't let it be Benjen. I'll throw my book across the room or burn it if we get this cheap soap opera reveal. Nights Kings Queen
The great other leading the dead, is like R'hllor leading the living.Hasn't GRRM stated the NK doesn't exist in his books?I haven't heard this before. If it's true it crushes one of my fav theories (Coldhands = NK)

Fat Mac
Hasn't GRRM stated the NK doesn't exist in his books? He said something to the effect of there's as much possibility that the night King's alive as there is Bran the Builder or Lann the Clever being alive so i.e. hes not the leader of the Others
The Mother of The Others
there's little indication it'll matter. we get no more joy from talking to their leader than any of the other Others. and hopefully it's not a queen bee situation like Falling Skies, so killing the leader won't solve the problem in a jiff either. One of the perks of being an Other is you don't have to put up with that beauracracy crap.

Though that oddly leaves the possibility open that all of them are alive, or one of them could be. We are looking at magic here. Even for Orcs we have Sauron there. And also several renowned generals for him. I bet others, who is the "ice" side of the ultimate war, had to have some sort of leader or king. Who will be this person? General Alberta Clipper. They call her Bertie for short.

Can I just say that shit was way outta left field and felt extremely rushed and anti-climatic when it happen? GtrGbln
I don't think they will have a designated leader. I think that having them presented as a completely unknown quantity with little or nothing similar to human society or culture makes them seem more menacing and helps to preserve the mystery of their origins/motives. As we all know a mystery is only interesting until it's solved. All the giant question marks are one of the things I love most about this series. I think a lot of those out there that think the ending will tied up with a neat little bow and everything laid for them are going to be disappointed. Codename: Nymeria
I think the real question you want to be asking here is, "Who's the leader of them all, that's made for the Others and me?" And you'll find the answer is M-I-C (see, because he's a natural), K-E-Y (Why? Because just like Star Wars, Disney has to get it's hand on anything cool...) alienarea
Jon Snow. With a last name like this and his wolf named Ghost it is kind of obvious, isn't it?
Pancakes1800
Jon Snow. With a last name like this and his wolf named Ghost it is kind of obvious, isn't it? No, there's no reason the Others would want to Jon to lead them and there's no reason Jon would want to anyway. Doesn't fit Jon's arc. The Others don't need a leader.
