The Trojan Horn

This only applies if you believe the horn is not what Euron claim it is.  The horn is a trap.  What does it do?  What will it do to the blower?

The horn clearly kills the blowers. What I wonder is what the horn actually does because I call BS on the binding dragons to the owner.

Personally I like Preston Jacob's view on what the horn actually does.

It sees a lot of trouble just to kill one blower.  It has to do something like massiv explosion to kill many people.  I don't know what it does exactly.  All I know is, the dusky woman is a Trojan Whore.  She's been planted on Vick.

More like Vic was planted on her, amirite? (I'm so sorry)

The way I see it, Euron thought giving Vic the horn was a win-win-win situation:

Say the horn really does nothing: It still served to make Vic feel all confident and to think he really has a chance of catching a dragon, and so he accepted Euron's plan and pretty much agreed to be a glorified cab driver for bringing Dany to Euron. And if Vic tries to blow it in front of a dragon and the horn is a dud, Vic dies by dragonfire.

Win.

Say the horn kills whoever blows it: Vic dies.

Win.

Say the horn does work and binds a dragon to his owner, that being Euron: Euron gets a dragon, Vic dies.

Win.

Of course, Moqorro threw a big wrench in those plans if the horn works, because who knows who he'll bind it to.

I cannot believe that the horn actually binds dragons. The fact that it has never been mentioned or even hinted at any other point in the series or World book that some horn can bind dragons, but Euron comes out of nowhere to have magical horn that no one else has even heard of. That's just too much of a stretch for me. So this whole time people of non-Valyrian descent could have just blown a horn and beat the Targs when they had dragons. Maybe the horn has something to do with the Doom. Idk. I'll have to listen to Preston Jacob's theory since a few people have mentioned it.

Horns have been brought up before as one of the ways the dragonlords of Valyria controlled their mounts - whips, horns and sorcery. That doesn't mean this horn is real, but I tend to think it is, and when blown, it will bind the dragons in range (Viserion and Rhaegal) to Euron, it's master.

As I've said in other posts before, Euron's been hiding under the bed in Vic's cabin the whole time.

Yeah they used horns, not the horn. I take this to mean just horns in general, not some special horn. There's no indication that before Euron comes around that there is some special legendary horn that can bond a dragon to a non-Valryian descent person. Even if the horns the Valyrians used were these special horns and there was more than one of them, that still doesn't indicate that non-Valryians could use it. All the lands the Valyrians conquered with dragons before the Doom and there's no history of anyone trying to steal or find these horns when that's all that was needed to bind dragons. Just some random being able to blow a horn and bind dragons seems a little cheap to me and I'd be disappointed if it was true. I might be ok if only people of Valyrian descent could use the horn to bind dragons and anyone else who blows it dies, but idk the easiness with which a random could use the horn to bind dragons bothers me.

I do agree that Euron is somehow spying on Victarion though. Either he's glamoured as the dusky woman, has some type of connection to her, glamoured as one Victarion's men, or hiding somewhere on the ship.

Not only did Dany say the Valyrians used magic horns, Euron took the horns from the worlocks who were following Dany in an attempt to steal her dragons...  Then separately Moqorro tells Victarion the same thing.  There are actually 4 sources, and no reason to believe the horn is anything other than what we are told, especially when you consider how the person who blew the horn died, he was burned from the inside out.

Euron=The Dusky Woman is disturbing on so many levels. :o

I don't think he says he took the horn from the warlocks. He just captured the warlocks & they taught him magic. He allegedly found the horn while in Valyria. I don't remember all this talk about magic horns but I'll take your word. But we can't just believe that the horn is what the characters say it is. How many things in this book have been boldfaced lies or at the very least misinterpretations? Even if the horn does what Euron says it does, I don't think he will be able to use it for that purpose. If anyone could just blow a horn & bind dragons how come no one has tried it before especially in ancient valeryian times. As I said before this being a possibility would be really cheap & disappointing imo especially since the whole series & the world book hypes up people of Valryian descent as having these special abilities to ride dragons. If anyone could just do it with some magic horn it's not even special anymore.

I like the idea that the horn Euron has is actually the horn to bring down the Wall. The other guy dying because he doesn't have the right blood to blow it, Euron has to blow it. I just like that idea. I place Euron on the side of the Others like Preston Jacobs does, but for dif reasons.

The horn killing the blower is interesting as we know blood sacrifice, or death is need for certain spells. Or as Mirri says, death for life. Maybe there is some other possibility than dragon binding, slave binding, or bringing down the wall.

Euron does say he found the horn in Valyria, but he lied.  The app is canon and it says Euron got the horn from the Worlocks.

Can vagina be faked?  Euron is unusual.  Maybe he's intersex.

I think the is a warlock watching Victarion. Probably either the dusky women or Morqorro. Not sure which.
