I really like the Stephen King Under the Dome cover. A book I am buying anyway, looks great.

I prefer the new PYR covers for the Tchaikovsky series to the original UK cover art.

I'm disappointed with the new Morgan book's cover art. It does not match with the cover art of my Gollancz hardcover of Steel Remains and looks much less interesting. This is more in the style of Martin & Robin Hobb UK covers, bland.

I agree about the PYR covers, definitely prefer them to the UK covers (which I feel might be a bit too bland). Also disappointed by the new Morgan cover. Ordered the first one from the UK because of that cover. Would be nice if there could be some consistency. I think it matches up to the paperback cover, not that it helps those of us who bought the hardcovers.

Eh.  Usually the UK versions are good, but like with Spellwright, this is a case where I much prefer the US version.

Agreed.  The US cover is beautiful, whereas the UK cover art looks really cheap.

This looks like the poster for a really crappy wuxia movie.

I was just thinking the same. The US version looks much better and for a fantasy cover it looks very distinctive.

That really is awful UK cover art for the new Guy Kay book. Fortunately the US version is very stylish.

On a GRRM message board, I think the last thing we need to concern ourselves with is language.

The mass market paperback release of Retribution Falls by Chris Wooding. A change of font, which is suited quite nicely, a shame about the blue behind it though - it worked fine without on the hc/tpb release.

And the cover the the Xeelee Omnibus by Stephen Baxter. I've never read these books but will be getting this, although in the hardcover version not the tpb - 900 pages is just too much.

Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie (US Paperback Edition). Not an abortion like the Hardcover release, thankfully.

Ah, don't like that. Oh well, won't be buying any Abercrombie books anyway.
