He's brilliant, incredibly versatile (so much so that many people don't realize in just how many different roles they have seen him), it's well-known he supports intelligent, daring projects and works basically for free if the writing is excellent (and it most definitely is). Plus, he has worked with HBO before - if anyone hasn't seen Rasputin, go and get that DVD now! His performance, as well as the film, was simply amazing. Well, you don't need a really great actor but someone who is very physical and at least a performer and also just gigantic.
