INSTANT RUNOFF VOTE. ORDER THESE ACTORS/ACTRESSES IN YOUR ORDER OF PREFERENCE IN YOUR REPLY POST. This list has been taken from the official compilation list from this site, which compiled all the suggested choices from the official suggestion threads. If you have suggestions which are not on this list, please post them on the official thread.

You may list from one to all of the actors/actresses on this list.

You may may make any commentary in your post, but please post only one VOTE reply. Make edits if your opinions change. Every time a new calculation is made, all old votes will be rechecked for changes.

Here are the choices suggested so far for SANDOR CLEGANE, in order of preference based on instant runoff voting from the posts that follow.

For a definition of how instant runoff voting works...Read the POLL FAQ. :) Short version, figure that only the highest name "of the available choices left" counts in your vote list. Then a process is run which reduces available choices one at a time till only one is left.

Current as of: FIRST CALCULATION

Sandor "The Hound" Clegane

Joffrey's Bodyguard
Brother to Gregor "the Mountain that rides" Clegane
"a man strange to Arya...with black hair and burn scars on his face..."
"Sandor Clegane's rasping voice drifted up to him.."
"'There's a pretty for you. Take a good long stare. You know you want to. I've watched you turning away all the way down the kingsroad. Piss on that. Take your look.'
His fingers held her jaw as hard as an iron trap. His eyes watched hers. Drunken eyes, sullen with anger. She had to look.
The right side of his face was gaunt, with sharp cheekbones and a grey eye beneath a heavy brow. His nose was large and hooked, his hair thin, dark. He wore it long and brushed it sideways, because no hair grew on the other side of that face.
The left side of his face was a ruin. His ear hadbeen burned away, there was nothing left but a hole. His eye was still good, but all around it was a twisted mass of scar, slick black flesh hard as leather, pocked with craters and fissured by deep cracks that gleamed red and wet when he moved. Dow by his jaw, you could see a hint of bone where the flesh had been seared away."

First Vote:

There are so many ways to go with the hound. Pullo was my initial favorite, but then I remembered Jeyne, and then I remembered Domino and Sin City. Sigh, another character I went all out of budget for....
I have to say I prefered juggernaut to colossus, though..../shrug
Was interesting to think of the differences to look for between an actor for the hound vs an actor for Bronn. The hound is more tragic, while Bronn is an entertaining cynic. I'd expect a similar type of actor to go for both parts....

Kevin Durand

Durand has been my favorite for this part even before the show was announced.  He's big, brawny, and has proven to be a very capable actor.

Daniel Cudmore

I just looked up this suggestion, and I love it.  Cudmore had a very small role in X2 and managed to stand out.  He was solid in the abomination that was X3, as well.

Brian Van Holt

I loved Van Holt's turn as Butchie Yost in John from Cincinnati.  He's not big enough, but has the face for it.

Older ones go on the bottom of the list, as much as I'd like them for the role.

Richard Armitage - the one with the best combination of looks, age and height.
