Vultus- You likely ended up in the OOC nexus, which is an out of character hangout for our players. When you log in next, type +read 1 to check your mail, then use Home to get onto the IC (in character) area of the grid. After that, you should be able to use +ic and +ooc to move between IC and OOC locations.

You get that installed, and the address you need is bod.westeros.org, with port 3000.

Then you log onto the game, and you pick out a character from our very large list of characters. We generally suggest a Cameo (time-limited test character) or a character that someone has played before and done the character creation for when you are new to MUSHing. But if you prefer, you can also pick a character that hasn't been played yet and do the character creation yourself.

The character creation is all on the game, and you go through a  series of rooms to setup assets & flaws, stats and skills, and then you write a background, a justify for your choices, and a few other things.

I really want to do this, although I've never done a rp soooo what is it exactly because i don't want to be that person who messes it up

Get yourself on the guest client... and just ask questions til you annoy everyone in sight!

Tis the best way to learn if you are new to MUSHing. I'd never played a MUSH before and now I am hooked.

Don't worry about messing up, everyone was new once and people are super forgiving and helpful.

If i wished to play how would i catch up with all the things that already happened? And aren't there fights like who won the trial by battle or some battle on the field and stuff? Can a character die?

It actually seems like a hell of a boost, giving chars with the whole Noble advantage out like that, but I have a LOT to learn before I feel ready for this.

Speaking of code, is there and central listing, a page I can keep up while RPing for the first few times?

Just met the folks over at the MUSH portal, they rock, very nice folks... but this is a pretty serious undertaking. Tutorials and such would be helpful, as would a Char Gen page that has some text on it.

im having some trouble creating a login name. no matter what i choose, it is either taken or illegal. am i doing something wrong?
