Show your Collections!

I recently started checking out collections online. Comic collections, action figure collections, hell, you can even find pez dispenser collections online. Not too many pics of book collections, though.

A few collections that blew my mind:

-Marvel Comics Statues

-Action figures in boxes

-Action figures out of boxes

-Baseball cards

I think they're all pretty neat, to be perfectly honest. And I see the insanity in them that I have felt a time or two in my life for comics and for books. But there are hardly any pics of book collections ANYWHERE on the internet. It's absurd.

So, I'm asking. I wanna see your collections! I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

My book porn (Most of the SF/F/H, anyway):

-My library

-A better pic

-A-Em

-Er-Mo

-Graphic Novels

-GRRM Books

-More GRRM books

-This corner makes me happy.

-ETA: Forgot this part of the room.

-Hey Abercrombie, Abraham, and Lynch! Get your asses to some cons so I can get these signed! (My kingdom for a UK hardcover of Last Argument of Kings, btw anyone)

Some of my valuable stuff is packed away in vacuum seal. And my wife is sleeping atm, so none of the non-fiction and normal people fiction books, sorry!

Let's see your book porn! (or any other type of collection. This stuff is fascinating.

Wow, that looks nice with all those hardcovers. I've never collected literature like that, it's only GRRM that I buy in hardcover. For the rest I just wait for the paperback to come out. Also, the books I collect are mostly history books, so I usually try to get any copy of a rare (-ish) book. All of which makes my shelves look way more haphazard than yours.

Let me ask you, do you collect all editions of books from your favourite authors? Cause I see all the Ice and Fire novels in several editions, all signed, on your shelf.

For GRRM I collect everything. Richard Morgan, Scott Lynch, China Mieville for some reason..... yeah. I tend to buy more for authors I really enjoy. I've cut back recently, however, believe it or not.

I applaud your efforts! God knows you only created this thread and took that picture to showcase your Optimus Prime figurine. I know I would of.

Dude, I'm moving into your library. And I thought I had a lot of GRRM books.

I haven't updated my library pics recently, but I'll get on that after work.

I recently moved all the books I had at my parents' to my own appartment so I finally have all my books in one place.

- The main bookcase in the living room.

- Some other books by my computer, that I didn't have room for with the rest of them.

I love how neat it all looks in the first picture. I would be terrified that evil neighbors would knock down my shelves if I had them on the wall like you do over your computer. :D I always liked those kinds of shelves, though.

Here are a few pics that are fairly recent of my main book stash (there are others still throughout the house). It's only stacked 2 deep in a few places. The pics are pretty small, so if you want to see detail you'll have save them to your computer or otherwise blow them up.

Awesome pics! I wish they were easier to see in detail, though. I saved them and still no dice. I wanna see the books! What are the holes in your wall for?

This is my home office which is built out over the garage, so it sits a bit higher than the first level of the house. The holes in the wall look out into the adjacent hallway. The bigger vertical space framed by the cases now has a nice print of a Chinese painting in it (partially visible in the image at the bottom of this post).

Give me a little bit - I'll re-upload the pics in that post with higher resolutions photos. (done now - but they still need to be saved to a desktop to get to the full resolution)

Neat way to fill the gap! Great pic, too. The colors jump out and scream at you. Those were also my very first hardcover books as an adult.
