Show your Collections!

I recently started checking out collections online. Comic collections, action figure collections, hell, you can even find pez dispenser collections online. Not too many pics of book collections, though.

A few collections that blew my mind:

-Marvel Comics Statues

-Action figures in boxes

-Action figures out of boxes

-Baseball cards

I think they're all pretty neat, to be perfectly honest. And I see the insanity in them that I have felt a time or two in my life for comics and for books. But there are hardly any pics of book collections ANYWHERE on the internet. It's absurd.

So, I'm asking. I wanna see your collections! I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

My book porn (Most of the SF/F/H, anyway):

-My library

-A better pic

-A-Em

-Er-Mo

-Graphic Novels

-GRRM Books

-More GRRM books

-This corner makes me happy.

-ETA: Forgot this part of the room.

-Hey Abercrombie, Abraham, and Lynch! Get your asses to some cons so I can get these signed! (My kingdom for a UK hardcover of Last Argument of Kings, btw anyone)

Some of my valuable stuff is packed away in vacuum seal. And my wife is sleeping atm, so none of the non-fiction and normal people fiction books, sorry!

Let's see your book porn! (or any other type of collection. This stuff is fascinating.

Dude. Where did you get that Feast For Crows with the cover that actually matches the others? I didn't think they even made that.

Here's my stuff. Tried to keep the spines readable throughout.

Main shelf

Close-ups of main shelf:

Shelf 1 and 2

Shelf 2 (no double-stacking) - Left and Right (Didn't know that that chocolate was chilling back there)

Shelf 3

Shelf 3 (no double-stacking) - Left and Right

Shelf 4

Shelf 4 (no double-stacking)

Shelf 5 - Left and Right

Shelf 6

Commode - Left and Right (The stack of comics is mostly Thorgal (in Danish), The Metabarons and The Mercenary)

Chest (there's also a bunch of older stuff inside the chest)

Fantasy & science fiction shelf (it's been a few years since I actively read this stuff, so it's probably a mite dusty)

Some of my books at my previous apartment. The current arrangement system is slightly different; still by color, but I've now got a gradient going up and down (darkest books on top, lightest books on bottom) in addition to the red-purple left-right thing.

AGoT, ACoK, ASoS, and AFfC should be pretty easy to pick out. There's also A Song for Lya, Portraits of His Children, Windhaven, and a first edition Fevre Dream. . .

Ok, I'll admit that looks pretty cool.

slightly different? :P

It looks neat, but it would drive me nuts trying to find something.

I took a picture of my newly-cleaned shelf today, after months of avoiding the clean up. This one is nailed to the wall at the foot of my bed. Always a cheery sight in the morning.

Pretty colors.

I love these postings, and was trying to find a picture of a Feist Magician 1st to compare one I just picked up and confirm that it is a 1st. If anybody has one or knows the 1st edition indicators for the 1982 original, if you could PM me I'd appreciate it. I've got a few additions since the last one of these threads I saw in 2008 (and yes, I know I'm a few months late on this thread, but who doesn't like old fashioned book porn.

SubPress numbereds of Lynch, Powers Last Call trilogy, and a few others that SubPress threw in when the lettered Altered Carbon (L, I think) took 2 years to arrive.

Also UK Altered Carbon and Black Man 1sts, US 1sts of Locke & RSORS, UK RSORS, and an ex-lib 1st of Snow Crash.

Second shelf-all the Feists are 1sts (including the newest to the collection, what I believe is a 1982 Magician 1st!) except Sethanon (BCE), Daughter of the Empire (BCE), Mistress (2nd printing). Servant of the Empire is bookplate signed by Feist and Wurts. Extra copies of GOT, COK, and TLOLL (all US 1sts)are here until I find non-duplicate ones worthy of the spot.

Top shelf-all the Cards are 1sts, including Ender's Game. My Abercrombies include the excerpt given away at conventions, the PYR trade signed (won at Pat's Fantasy Hotlist!) and UK 1sts of Blade Itself, Last Argument of Kings, and Best Served Cold. Yup, missing Before they are Hanged. So if anybody has a reasonably priced or traded for extra out there...

2nd shelf is US 1sts of ASOIAF, Tuf, Windhaven (signed), Rag (signed) and Lya, numbered Rag. Left Hand of Darkness is an ex-lib 1st, bookplate signed. Stephensons are all 1sts, including ex-lib Snow Crash; Cryptonomicom is signed.

Bottom shelf is Jordan's WOT. Eye of the World and The Great Hunt are 5th printings without dust jackets-the rest are 1sts. Then Bakker's trilogy.

Top shelf cool stuff is an old Poe compilation with laid in illustrations, Christopher Hinz trilogy in firsts and a paperback original of Neuromancer. Second shelf pretty boring (ARCs of Ruckley, some kind of special Hobbit edition, a bunch of Donaldson). Mostly mass market bottom shelf (backed by paperbacks by the same authors).

Pretty boring shelf, all in all.

Top is the 2 Hobbs Assasins trilogies, US 1sts except Apprentice. Nothing else very interesting except a paperback 1st edition of Dune (not worth anything but pretty cool I thought). Paperbacks are doubled up and represent a bunch of SF and Fantasy staples that I don't have anywhere near the cash to have a 1st of, or haven't read/didn't like enough to track the 1st down.

Mass market, sports and non-SF or Fantasy stuff. Um, 1st edition Bourne Identity?

Extra stuff.

There's a lot of stuff boxed up in the closet still, but most of it is old paperbacks and mass market stuff.

Thought this thread would be best for posting pictures of my Easton Press books. Only 67 left to order/buy in their 100 Greatest Books Ever Written series (1 book has yet to arrive, so I've paid for 33 Easton Press books in that series, plus the six Gibbon books pictured).
