Information to join the league on Yahoo:

Okay, so I have so good news and some bad news. I'll start with the bad news....
I never updated the contracts on Songs of Westeros last year (for the new owners - that's a message board where we have been keeping the information for this league). Not the worst thing in the world, but the problem is that I was storing all of them in my inbox on this board. Had a folder for dynasty league baseball contracts. Well, when we moved over to the new version of the board, all of my folders in my inbox disappeared. I'm not entirely certain what happened after that - either the messages in those folders got deleted in the move, or they got mixed in with the rest of the messages in my inbox and then I accidentally deleted them without realizing it......but either way, they are all gone.
Bottom line - there is no record of the contracts signed last year (in terms of the years allocated to each player).
So whats the good news? Well, all is not lost. I do have a record of the draft, and all of the dollar values for each player.
Here is what I propose. I know who was drafted last year. I know the amount they were drafted for. What we're going to have to do to get things back on track is just decide the amount of years each player was signed for now.
I know this isn't a perfect solution, especially not for a league like this. But it's the most fair answer I can come up with. At least it puts everyone in an equal position of making their decisions at the same time.
I will post each team in this thread, including both updated contracts for previously drafted players and a list of players who were drafted last season. For each of the players drafted last season, you will have to tell me how many years you want to sign them. The number will be between 0 and 3. Saying you sign them for 0 years is the equivalent of having them on a 1 year contract last season - it's expired now, and they are back in the draft pool. Signing them for 3 years is a maximum contract (normally that is 4 years, but you already had them on your team last season).
I'm really sorry this got messed up. I have been doing a poor job as commissioner of this league lately, and was even going to give up the role....but Groz was the one who was going to take over, and he has disappeared. So instead, I'm going to give it one more try this year. In an effort to improve my organization, I'm going to try a new way of keeping track of the league - going to do everything through Excel and email, rather than trying to use Songs of Westeros. Having to edit things on that message board was always a pain, and hopefully not using it anymore will make things easier.
Anyway, first step will be for me to post all of the information here, which I will do over the next few days. After that, everyone will have to decide on their contracts for players drafted last season. Then we can move on to this year's draft.
Oh and one other piece of very good news - Yahoo not only has auction drafts this year, it also allows for keepers in auction drafts. So no more drafting in AIM. We can just use Yahoo, which will be a million times easier.

1) Budget penalties - The amount you will be penalized next year, for dropping players signed to multi-year contracts in past seasons.
(Note for Fuentez and Andrik - if you drop a player signed to a multi-year contract, the penalty is equal to 1/3 of his contract for any future seasons in which he was signed. So for example, if you draft Chili Davis for 12, and sign him for 3 years, and then drop him during the season, you will have a penalty of 4 (= 1/3 of 12) for those 3 years. I can explain more later if you have questions.)
2) Payroll - This is the amount you have devoted to players who are already signed to your team for the upcoming season. This number does not yet include players drafted in 2009.
3) Budget - This is the amount you have left for this year's draft. If you decide to keep any players who you drafted in 2009, their contracts will be subtracted from this number to get your final budget for the upcoming 2010 draft.
4) Players currently signed to your team, and their updated contracts.
5) Players dropped by your team. These are the penalties that are still valid, and which will count against your budget this year.
6) Players you drafted in 2009, and the amount you paid for each player. You need to decide how long to sign each one - a number ranging from 0 to 3 years. If you choose 0 years for a player, he will be thrown back into this year's draft. If you choose 1 year, you will only have him this season. If you choose 2 years, you will have him this year and next year (2010 and 2011). If you choose 3 years, you will have him this year and the following 2 years (2010, 2011, and 2012).
I will be posting teams over the course of the next few days. It's a long process, so it might take a while. Please post or PM me your contracts for those players drafted in 2009 as soon as you can, after your team is posted.

Sorry I have not been active on the board. Haven't come on here in over a month. I thought I had posted at the end of the Expert Football that I was done with the leagues here. Sorry for the confusion.
For what it's worth for whoever picks up my team I had signed Arod and Santana for 3 years, Lee,Jeter, Burnett, Cordero and Rivera for 2 and Gamel, Morrow, Andrus, Smoak and Lowe for 4.
