More than likely. We also know at least one of his kids JoJen has the gift of prophecy. His Green Dreams. Meera is an exceptionally skilled hunter. We also know he showed up at the tourney of the Harrenhall. And that was his first interaction with the Starks. He's also reputed have been to the Isle of Faces,( I think thats what it's called) and possibly have met some COF's.

Also, as I recall, Lady Mormont and a Glover were seeking out Greywater Watch with letters from Robb. This could have huge implications for Jon Snow...
I'd love to have a POV from Howland but I think he will remain in the background.

Didn't Glover and Lady Mormont go to the red wedding with Rob?
I thought they were going to go afterwards, with lady Cat, who would then depart for whiteharbor.

Galbart Glover and Maege Mormont were not at the Red Wedding.

In other words, there has to be some kind of reason he has stayed put so long. The last thing we need is another Lysa!

Quote
Bran was almost certain he had never heard this story. "Did he have green dreams like Jojen?"
"No," said Meera, "but he could breathe mud and run on leaves, and change earth to water and water to earth with no more than a whispered word. He could talk to trees and weave words and make castles appear and disappear."
To translate: Howland Reed is a very high level magic user. He is not a green seer[/i]. From this background he visits the Isle of Faces, and meets the green men. That’s unique experience points, we can assume that he levelled up a lot there, we can speculate that he’s the best trained animist/druid on Westeros, south of the Wall at least. If you want to speculate further, he’s also a warg. (There are two reasons to believe this: (1) Meera and Jojen know a lot about warging, given that neither of them is one. (2) This could be how he helped Ned Stark to defeat Arthur Dayne: by warging into Arthur, just like Bran wargs into Hodor. That’s the Howland Superwarg crackpot theory. Since Arthur died when Howland was in him, the event might have damaged Howland a lot. That’s the Howland is a Vegetable theory, explaining why he – uniquely among Stark bannermen – didn’t follow Robb’s muster.)
Weapons: “leathern shield and a threepronged spear.” “The lad was no knight, no more than any of his people. We sit a boat more often than a horse, and our hands are made for oars, not lances.”
So there you have it: Lvl 65 green animist, all crannogman spells, all green men spells, Warging + 10, Spear + 2 , Net + 1, Shield+1, riding -10. Rolls against willpower - 2 every round, takes critical spell damage for each failure.

BTW the castle he can make dissapear is Greywater Watch.
About the 'Howland is a Vegetable' theory, it seems a bit wrong since he fathered at least 2 children after the events at ToJ.

But now seriously I can*t see any problem with Howland siring children if from tIme to time he exist like a grass just in order to recharge his forces from the Mother Nature. If we can believe that a man may warg into Reeds or Grass and lives like that for years why would it not be possible for the Grass to have human babies after all.
We know that even without any magic some herbs (Moon Tea ??? IIRC) are in general use to prevent pregnancy in Westeros. What is the problem then if there is something that can work in the reverse?

First of all we have a day by day solidifying theory that Meera and Jojen are actually Rhaenys and Aegon Targaryen (Elia and Rhaegar*s kids)

I have no idea what you're trying to say but I think its all wrong.
Any expansion on the reed kids being Targs?

The antler men must be the product of coital warging with animals.
