FreakAngels. 600 pages of Warren Ellis goodness, and counting. Some exceptional segments in this last month of it, too.
World of Hurt. Blaxploitation-inspired comic (think Shaft) with excellent art by Jay Potts.

For the Metal Gear fans, The Last Days of Foxhound, which is actually complete as a 500-issue story.

I read Least I could do... love the sunday throwbacks
I know Rob Balder and met the old and new artists from Erfworld... although I don't actually follow it.

Challenges of Zona (skinny musician from San Bernardino goes to as fantasy world where his playing of 60s-70s era rock on an acoustic guiter sound amped to him because they are magic spells that he can't control ).

Dresden Codak - Starts out a bit random, quickly gets much better. Updates irregularly these days, but the archive is worth it. (The archive is set up in a somewhat confusing manner, as it is separated into singles and storylines. This is the first, I suggest starting from there.)
The Secret Knots - Like the above, this comic now updates irregularly (and rarely, at that), but the archive is till worth a read.
Sin Tutulo - Has been around for about three years now, but tends to fall victim to long stretches without update due to the creator's workload. It is a good comic, but the story is so slow-moving that I hesitated to recommend it.
I also agree with:
FreakAngels
Looking For Group
Least I Could Do
Sinfest
Also, to those of you reading Least I Could Do and Looking For Group, Sohmer just started up a third comic: The Gutters.
