I particularly like the fact that David's really thinking about what a horsed nomadic culture like that might have words for, and how they express themselves. I'm reminded of David Anthony's The Horse, the Wheel, and Language (which focuses on the origins of the Indo-European language group in the steppes north of the Black Sea), where he discusses something of this sort.
