Yes, he is in Borgias right now, but he could play in both shows, I think. Colm is a very accomplished actor in USA, UK, and Europe, and is pure Irish by birth.

His range of acting spans from drama, comedy, narration, and children's programs. He often plays villains, and is actually what he is best known for. Colm seems to be comfortable on the stage, in movies, and on television.

I think he could pull of portraying Roose Bolton, Craster, Balon Greyjoy, or even one of the Maesters.

In my opinion, I think Game of Thrones would benefit greatly from the addition of Colm Feore and his talent to the cast.

Huh, I always thought he was Canadian. Meh, he never registered for me as an actor. He's solid I suppose, but I never felt wow about him...

I suppose he could do that, but I don't see Colm playing as the Blackfish. But, that is just my opinion. He plays usually "dark" characters.

His Irish parents came to USA shortly before Colm was born because they wanted their child to be an American citizen. He was born in Minnesota. The family moved to Canada a few years after, so technically he IS Canadian, but he is full Irish by blood.

There have been quite a few postings, the WIC board and IMDB board, for example, of several people requesting Colm Feore to be in Game of Thrones. I never thought about it seriously until last night I saw a posting from a person who said they'd like to see Colm as Roose Bolton because Feore plays a villain so well. And, I thought, "Yeah, that might work very well." 10 years ago he could have played Stannis well, but he is too old for that part now.

Well that explains everything! Although what I read was that he was born in Boston and went to University in Canada (at 18 years of age), and seemingly stayed there. Curiouser and curiouser... Who is this mystery man?

But nooo, he still isn't a very compelling actor (to me).

Could he be Lord Tarly do you think?  He's not who I would have pictured, but if you want darkness, you could do far worse.

Or perhaps one of Stannis's courtiers.  One of the Florents, maybe.

Or Lord Westerling.

He grew up in Boston, Ottawa and Windsor (Ontario) - http://www.thecanadi...=A1ARTA0009280.

The IMDB page says he's been in Canada for forty years, but that comes from a quote on the page that doesn't have a date attached. Most of the info on that page appears to be from 2002, which would have had him moving to Canada when he was approximately four (it's also worth noting the rest of the 'forty years' quote is about playing dead Canadians, and he played Trudeau in 2002, which would make this date logical, but doesn't prove it). As well, he might very well be rounding 'forty years' up or down, since it's usually easier to throw out round numbers.

That's my sleuthing for the day. For my part, I think he does a great villain.

Judging just from the descriptions in this thread and the headshot from the first post, I could see him as Qyburn maybe. Or Roose Bolton.

Speaking of the Borgias, I really like Sean Harris for Jaqen H'ghar based off his excellent performance as Michelotto.

Those would work or perhaps Aeron Greyjoy.

I think Colm Feore would be excellent as Mance Rayder, although I am assuming they will already have cast for that role by now...

Qyburn, or one of the Greyjoys, maybe Randall Tarley. Colm is presently in The Borgias, but who knows in a couple years, and could it be possible for him to be in two series at once? I think Colm would be a terrific addition to GoT as he is a superb actor.

There's a few actors on the Borgias that I would kill to see on GoT, particularly Francois Arnaud and Sean Harris. Colm Feore is good on that show but I don't know who the heck he could play on GoT. I don't picture him as any of the major characters. I could however see him as Randyll Tarly.
