Does anyone remembers any TV episode of any other show to have so many regular or recurring characters in a single episode, it had almost all of the season cast except Jamie, Tomen and Myrcella and those characters who had already been killed, plus introduced 5 new characters which are to be recurrent. I think this has to be a new record for TV, not even Battlestar Galactica (in)famous for its amount of characters I remember having so many in a single episode.

Heroes had alot too. There would be episodes where several characters story arc would be left out.

Just had a count on IMDB. The Wire's finally episode had 84 actors! Whew! Last GOT ep had 55.

Didn't know about the wire, 88 is amazing, I don't think heroes came to have as many regular and recurring characters in a single episode

Lost's finale must have had a good few.

Is that 84 actors, or 84 speaking parts? 84 actors isn't that much, 84 speaking parts would be insane.

Probably speaking parts. The Wire and GoT are similar in that sense. I watched the show before I read any books, so I was waaaaaay confused in the first couple episodes b/c of all the characters. The Wire was the same way.
The best description I got for GoT was that is was "Lord of the Rings meets The Wire."
