no - that was a bard from one of the taverns in KL; Marillion is still in the Vale.

That was, indeed, Marillion. And so the puzzle is solved -- it's not a character who was killed (George must have misspoken, or maybe when he pointed it out they changed his fate a bit?), but certainly mutilated, and likely never to be seen again despite his role in ASoS and AFfC. Interesting!

the description of the child sounded better in the book than having it said, kinda interesting.

surprised they left out the part about Dany being barren, that was an important part for her thoughts later on.

Simplifies the stuff in the Vale I guess... Maybe Lysa's fall is going to be an accident, or caused by another servant or something. It doesn't really matter who the scapegoat is.
