I suppose a person actually being in fire is a hard thing to accomplish. And special effects are expensive. So I understand. Still a good scene. But I also knew that they had already made major alterations (AKA skipping Tyrion's battle and Whispering Woods) because of budget concerns or whatever. There had already been several comments ealier in the evening of "Oh, they better not screw this up." Then when it went to black there was just a moment of certainty that they had indeed screwed it up. Just enough time for the nerdrage to start to build before they cut back in.
