Not so positive about the Missandei one.
Regarding Daenerys, and though I never had a lot of interest in her chapters since ACoK, I think some of the comments are a bit harsh : in contrary to Jon (who is doing great things at the wall by the way), she never had a fahter figure aroind to teach her to rule (while Jon was taught obviously with Robb).
Moreover, conquering Westeros had never been her own goal, more one that she must (in stead of want) to reach. Her ideal home stays this door with the red door that she keeps thinking of. I also think this explain why she is not in a hurry to go to Westeros.
As for Daario, I admit he is bold, but a woman is allowed to have some good time too, and should I remind you that brothels are closed in Meereen (though I doubt you can fin men there). Tyrion had Shae, after all.

Yes, yes. As I said in the Dany 5 thread, she really is a mallrat in a tokar. Daario is that guido with gelled (blue) hair (beard) and gold chains (tooth). She has completely immature taste in men, and it's skewing her entire would-be reign. Then again, Quaithe told her not to trust the "sun's son," so I guess she's right not to marry him (though I can't see how; seems like a good idea).
Wait--what? Illyrio knew about Aegon? Did he sell Dany to Khal Drogo to keep her out of Westeros, knowing the Dothraki wouldn't cross the Narrow Sea? Still, I guess he was right, because at this rate this dumb broad is never going to get to Westeros.

First off, Dany thinking, "I would give up my crown if you asked me." Seriously, Dany? Seriously? You know this guy doesn't love you, and you want to quit playing queen and run away with him instead? In GoT, in Vaes Dothrak, she considers that she could just stay with Drogo and the dothraki and her baby and be happy, except that she can't because she's the blood of the dragon and she's destined for greatness and whatever. But now a blue-haired pouf shows up and she's like "Haha nevermind let's play house"? So annoying.
Second, Daario had no right to speak to Quentyn the way he did. In open court. He's just some sellsword captain, Quentyn is the Prince of Dorne. Is Dany's court set up on a hierarchy of attractiveness, here? Does Daario get to say whatever he wants because she likes his dick, and Quentyn the prince isn't pretty enough to deserve respect? Even if Dany doesn't trust Quentyn, she can't allow that sort of behavior.
Which brings me to three: she's letting Daario completely take the reins here. She wishes he'd let her lace up his boots? Vomit. Are you a queen, or a camp follower? You're prancing your lowborn lover around the court, letting him kiss you in front of everyone and insult people of WAY higher birth than him, and you want the people of this city to respect you? Please. You know he's an ass, you want to sleep with him anyway, fine. The least you could have done was be discreet. And, you know, act like a queen, and not a whiny little girl.
I liked her as a character in the first book because we got to see her maturing from a scared child to a potential player in the game of thrones. And now we're back to scared child again. Ick.

Dany has shown she knows what her duty is (and obviously for her it is to rule and protect her "children", eventually heading back to westeros one day (I hope soon), and I am quite sure she has no intention to do anything that she says under these circumpstances.

Here's where I first started thinking this:
From AFFC, Jamie 5
"She(Genna Lannister) smiled. "How could I not love him, after that? That is not to say that I approved of all he did, or much enjoyed the company of the man that he became . . . but every little girl needs a big brother to protect her. Tywin was big even when he was little." She gave a sigh. "Who will protect us now?"
Jaime kissed her cheek. "He left a son."
"Aye, he did. That is what I fear the most, in truth."
That was a queer remark. "Why should you fear?"
"Jaime," she said, tugging on his ear, "sweetling, I have known you since you were a babe at Joanna's breast. You smile like Gerion and fight like Tyg, and there's some of Kevan in you, else you would not wear that cloak . . . but Tyrion is Tywin's son, not you. I said so once to your father's face, and he would not speak to me for half a year."
And from ADWD, Daenerys 7
"When she and Twyin wed, your father drank too much wine at the wedding feast and was heard to say that it was a great pity that the lord's right to the first night had been abolished. A drunken jape, no more, but Tywin Lannister was not a man to forget such words, or the…the liberties your father took during the bedding."
Is this too crazy of a theory?
No. I agree with you. I remember reading this and thinking the exact same thing. Nice work going back and finding it in writing.

I don't think you are supposed to like Daario. I don't even think Dany likes him that much. He is a fighter, cocky, and has a mustache. That's why she has sex with him. She misses Drogo.
I think the relationship is stupid and naive--but so does Dany. She even admits to herself that she knows he doesn't love her, he loves that she is a queen. She is frustrated with all the mistakes that she's been making as queen and Daario is escapism from that. Probably she will learn a hard lesson from this, as many pretty young girls do when their handsome lover turns out to not be so valiant.
The question I have is--What were the liberties Aerys took during the bedding between Tywin and Joanna? Barristan implies that Aerys did not have sex with her, but these liberties sound pretty licentious. Are Cersei and Jaime Targaryens??? Or was this just what made Tywin hate Aerys so much? Will it be revealed later or is it just something for us to wonder about?

That just show how Dany lost sight of her first objective: Westeros. She totally forgot about it to the point that Westeros is a far away dream, not worth the problem.
Honestly, this is the first chapter I wanted to smack Dany. She didn't even bothered in talking to Quentyn about Westeros and the situation there, that just shows how much she needs a wake up call on "bitch Westeros is your realm, not Meeren"

Ok Cersei turns mad, Joff could easily stand as Aerys Grandson and Jaime and his sister share Targ's love for incest, but it would be too much, every character can't be the hidden son of another, we already had enough of that.
I totally agree with swordswench about this part :
Maybe because it's too late to flee from Mereen, even with a few people and 2 dragons ? Or she doesn't really care about Westeros ?
it seems she' accepting the fact she can't make things go the way she wants (pit fights, healing and feeding every one behind the walls, etc...), so I think she wouldn't be so worried now to let Hizdahr rule Mereen, make peace with Yunkaii, sell him her insullied and restore pit fights, slavery, and anything he wants. What does she care, now she has understood she will never be this people's queen, and the pact gives her the army she was looking for these last months ?
She really need good advice right now, as I doubt this wedding will fix things up magically...
I like the idea Varys is around, disguised.
I wonder what Daario is gonna do now, planning for a treason, after having her by every hole
This mysterious knight, lover of Dany's mother, makes me wonder : do we know why Benjen Stark joined the wall ?
My crazy theory once was that Dany and Jon are siblings of Lyanna and Rhag really. I think If Jon survives that it be very interesting if she orders them to attack and they stop because his blood smells like hers.

Also A+J=J+C, interesting. Liberties taken during the bedding, mmmh.. OK.
Now I am not Dany's number 1 fan, far from it, but people need reminding she is like 17 and so of course she has sexual desires and, coupled with her power, she will satisfy them. And why not? Any guy would do the same. Daario is Daario, but he is hot, fit and fits the ark, latin lover stereotype, Dany frankly could do worse. Plus, she's about the be married to a bore.
Also in history, there has been plenty of examples of women, some a lot older (and supposedly wiser) than Dany, getting involved with someone they shouldn't, and parading them openly in court/in the city/wherever. Wasn't the 18th and 19th century in Europe full of inappropriate display of affection with kings, queens, princes, princesses and dukes etc swapping partners around, with a coterie of people living off the scandals? How is that different from Dany's behaviour towards Daario? She's infatuated, of course! It's normal. Have any of you guys ever been in love? (or thought you were in love) Or mad with lust for someone? Who has never said that they'd give up important stuff for a lover? Come on, we can see where she's coming from!
