Will the Starks ever again rule the north? Will they be kings or just lord of Winterfell/Warden of the North? How will they go about taking it back? Whose shoulders does it rest on? It should be up to Jon Snow but he's busy with being lord commander. Will Bran or Rickon rise to the occasion? WIll Arya change paths and return to Westeros? Can Sansa unite the Vale and the North together? The fate of House Stark now lies in the hands of four children. None older than fourteen.

Littlefinger has plans for Sansa that she won't have control of. Whether they include the Starks rising again shall be determined

He does, but seeing that Sansa isn't the dimmest bulb in the room, had a survivor's course in intrigue in KL, and is learning a lot from seeing Littlefinger at work, my hunch and hope is that she'll turn the tables on him.

Sansa will always be a kid in Littlefingers eyes until she's standing behind him holding a knife to his throat.

And then she gives someone the idea for his beheading.

Beautiful.

Can people be a bit more wary of posting ADWD details in here. There is a specific forum for ADWD discussion. Don't ruin it for the rest of us who aren't there yet.

The Starks will regain the north before ASoIaF is done, I have no doubt.

Not sure we're seeing any ADwD details? Just looks like total speculation to me to be honest.

There were some spoilers that have since been deleted by a moderator. :)

Remember, folks -- NO ADWD spoilers. And if you see a spoiler, use the Report Post button (lower left of the post). That way, we can deal with it more quickly. Thank you. :)

Jojen in ASOS: "The wolves will come again."

Also Robb said "The north remembers" in the very same book.

But what Stark? Jon isn't a Stark, if Arya or Sansa get married they are no Starks and their kids won’t be Starks, Bran is probably useless for reproduction. I guess it’s all up to that sh*t kid Rickon but I hope he is eaten by Shaggydog and Osha.

I don't get how people can like the series enough to go on this board, but still haven't read ADwD.  Spoilers?  Really?  Read the series and stop bothering those of us who have and want to discuss it about spoilers.

I can see not wanting to read or be privy to stuff from advance chapters, but the book's been out for weeks.  Read it or just stay off the boards until you do.  Why would you be on this discussion board if you haven't read it?  Whining about spoilers on a board whose main purpose is discussing the books-  I truly do not understand.

I agree, but the embargo will be lifted in a week or so. Then everyone who still hasn't read it can go jump in a lake :)

I wonder about this.  Maege Mormont is a Mormont even though that is her maiden name.  Who is her husband?  And her kids are Mormonts, not Snows.  In that family, though the line and title (presumably) continues through the female, the House name remains the name of the heirs.  I can only assume that Stark female heirs may be able to produce Starks, since there seems to be precedence for it via the Mormonts.

Anyone have any knowledge how the female heirs Mormonts came to be?

This is a totally useless comment.

The rules of the forums have been set and we all agreed to abide by them.  I see nothing wrong with pointing out that spoilers were posted in a forum which bans them per the administrators.

And the embargo is lifted soon.

Sorry, but the book's been out for only three weeks and not all of us have the benefit of living in an English-speaking country where we can just go and pick it up at any bookstore in the area. For me something's come up and I had to cancel my pre-order and re-order it just recently after I was done with my exams and could allow myself to do that. The book hasn't arrived here yet. It's not a question of not wanting to read it for me.

Initially, I was going to stay away from the boards until I read the book because I didn't want to be spoiled. I don't because this board's rules has been set up in a way that allows me not to do this (until the ban of spoilers is lifted) and I want to read the discussion of series in general. It's as simple as that.
