Thought this question might be most appropriate for the "Objects" board rather than the board discussing the HBO show.

I went to the dying local Borders several days ago and saw several of the GoT glass beer mugs with house sigils/mottos on them. I neglected to buy any, thinking I'd wait until they were discounted by more than 10%. (mistake!) I went back and of course they're gone now.

Haven't found or read about these particular mugs being available anywhere besides Borders, and they're not available on the Borders website. My guess is that they're out of stock at the rest of the store locations, since GRRM books and related products are generally sold out there anyway. I find these mugs preferable to the official HBO ceramic steins because, unlike the latter, you can stick the glass mugs in the freezer, and then later enjoy an ice cold beer out of your lion mug while smugly thinking "damn it feels good to be a lannister..."

Anyone know of any other place to find these things? I'm thinking a few of them may pop up on Ebay after a while, that or some other version of them may be released somewhere closer to next season, though (alas) not at Borders.

i also found them in a dying Borders but i did pick them up and for $15 it was worth it. of course no Starks were left so i got Targaryen and Lannister and picked up a Baratheon for my friend.

Why no love for Martell, my favorite house won't be in the show until season 3 so of course they get no cool hbo things. Even the Wall plaque on the HBO store looks horrible

Good to hear that you got them! Bummer that Borders is the only place it seems that was selling them. Ah, well, they might be re-released next season...

I can't believe I just now found this thread!  I need these!!!

Hit up all the Borders within a 20 mile radius.  Zero left.  If anyone finds these on ebay or wherever, please let me know.

Went to 3 more stores today.  Found 12 Targaryen, 2 Baratheon, and 2 Lannister.  Bought them all.  The employee said they ran out of Stark the same week they got them.

yea i went to 2 within the last couple days and no Stark, but i did see a fair amount of Baratheon

I bought mine at the Penn Station/Madison Square Garden Borders Books in New York City, so if one were to find a larger Borders store, you might have some luck. I got the Targ one and will likely pick up a Stark one next for a Ice and Fire set.  The Direwolf and Dragon symbols are badass.  The glass is not a proper pint glass, but more accommodating to a standard 12 oz beer with some room to spare.

I'm actually looking for these as well.  I lucked out at my local Borders and saw the Targaryen mug with no price sticker on it, so the sales rep gave it to me for $2.70. And I also managed to find the ones for Lannister and Baratheon at a different Borders, for $13.99 a piece.  I've now been to 5 different Borders in NJ and no Stark mug to be found and I wasn't even aware there was an Arryn or Greyjoy one.  If anyone has seen these in the NJ/NY area recently (especially Stark, though I would like any of the ones I don't have) I'd really appreciate a heads up :-)

I asked the employees at each of the Borders i went to which mugs they received and they all had the same response; dragon, lion, stag, and wolf. So until we see photos of the Arryn and Greyjoy mugs, I assume they don't exist.

Glad I found this post, cuz I've been combing the net for a while now trying to find those too - as mentioned in the other thread I got the 4 house ones (and as far as I can tell they're identical to the HBO ones) - I skipped the just general GoT one cuz, well, I thought it was ugly. Heh.  As far as I can tell, you're right - it's just the ceramic coffee cup things, no glass steins.  I hope they do more, cuz the ones I have now are awesome.

I ordered a Stark stien from HBO but if I knew about the clear mugs, I would have jumped all over a House Baratheon mug. I'm not a heavy drinker but when I drink, I drink in style.
