Whoever opens the door will have one mean direwolf on his hands.
Or maybe Jon has warged into him?
Either way – if anything happens to Ghost, I don’t know how I will bear it.

The foreshadowing was there for how it is to happen. 'Man, then wolf, then man again.' His last word was Ghost and they say that you transfer into your main warg-beasts body upon death. I'm pretty sure Ghost is now Jon for the time being.

The "transfer to a new body" theory is a non-starter for the simple reason that it would invalidate Jon's parentage.
Having Rhaegar Targaryen's blood in your veins isn't going to mean much if you end up in another body - which by default WON'T have Rhaegar's blood in its veins. Instead, it will have the blood of some peasant or wildling or sellsword running through its veins.
Jon HAS to retain his original body, else the mystery surrounding his parentage will be completely meaningless.
As for Ghost - he will escape in the chaos. If Martin then has Jon kill him as "Nyssa Nyssa" I will stop reading the series.
Here's hoping Daeny, also known as "Mysa (mother) is actually Nyssa Nyssa. Anything to get rid of her so that Jon can get all the limelight henceforth!

1. He saw the Wall shining like blue crystal, and his bastard brother Jon sleeping alone in a cold bed, his skin growing pale and hard as the memory of all warmth fled from him. This is from Bran’s prophetic dream in GoT.
2. Mel’s man-wolf-man prophecy
3. Warging 101 as relayed in the prologue of DwD.
So: Jon’s essence leaves his body and enters ghost. Finally ghost is a ghost. Cool stuff.
The Jon-body is laid in a bed to die (instead of being hacked to pieces or burned). I guess Melisandre is behind that.
Melisandre reanimates/heals the Jon-body. Red priests can do that. Thoros has done it to whole bodies. Moqorro to Victarion’s arm.
Jon’s essence slips back. Any deletorious effects of reanimation to the mind (such as those visited upon Beric or Catelyn) are avoided by the warging trick.
Cool detail: I predict that Ghost will howl when Jonned.

Just to say that this is exactly what I think will happen as well.
And yes it would be cool if Ghost howled.
But in any case, Bran's prophecy coupled to Dany's prophcy of the Blue Rose growing in a chink at the base of the Wall suggests that Jon returns, it is just unclear if he will die and be resurrected by Melisandre, or if she is able to heal him before he dies. Important in all of this is indeed the prologue, and the fact that even Thoros could resurrect, whereas Mel is more powerful at the Wall than she was ever before.
Also, Mel says at the start of the Jon chapters that Jon may soon have grave need of her, and he should not scorn her.

The main difference is that at the Red Wedding, the Freys all knew about the plan and we're okay with it. I don't think that all the brothers agree with the idea of killing Jon, and there's still the wildlings, and they clearly outnumber the black brothers. The situation will not be under control enough for someone to think of Ghost and go ahead with killing him, IMO.

Here's hoping that Jon, Ghost, and Wun Wun all survive in their proper bodies.

Fanboyism at its strongest!
But in the event that Jon has to stay in Ghost for a prolonged period, his human body would be too far decomposed to return to.
