Totally agree about Anthony S. Head. There are dozen possible roles for him in GoT.
Who should Nathan Fillion play?

Arys Oakheart, cause i'd love to see him bang the #$%& out of Arianne...(AND OMG ARIANNE COULD BE MORENA BACCARIN!!!!!)
I could totally see Nate Fillion in a minor role, such as Ser Patrek of King's Mountain (that'd be sheer hilarity, and Pat would probably wet himself as someone else said xD), Ser Balon Swann, Ser Aerys Oakheart, Ser Hyle Hunt, one of the guys accompanying Quentyn (forgot their names), etc.

My first post in this thread since I created it. I think lots of people on here underestimate Nathan's "serious acting". There are lots of serious moments in Firefly.
I still think Jon Connington would be a great fit for Fillion. What about Lord Beric?

Beric's already been cast. He had a brief scene in the 1st season.
If we're on about the Firefly cast then Alan Yudyk would be a mean Shagwell. Though he's probably too big an actor for a rather small role.

Beric is a prime candidate for recasting, but I doubt it will be Nathan. They are casting Dario for season 3 and have said "any race but Caucasian", so that eliminates Nathan. I think he'd make a great Tom of Sevenstreams, but I don't know if he'd be able to make the time commitment for such a part. It lasts over several seasons and isn't a major role. It needs to be either a role that would only appear in an episode or two, or a role that would be major enough to be worth it to work around shooting schedules with Castle.

I like Nathan Fillion a whole lot, and loved him on Firefly, but I personally can't quite picture him on the show. Maybe I'm wrong, but he seems to lean more comedic, light hearted kinds of roles.

Nathan Fillion mentioned GoT on Jimmy Fallon this week, saying he would be a ringer in their upcoming archery duel because he watches Game of Thrones. Fallon said he's a ringer because he watched The Hunger Games. They proceeded to shoot each other with toy suction-cup arrows while wearing plastic body protection. Goofy. Fallon lost and said it's because he only watched half of The Hunger Games.
