That does mean no EasterCon. I will have to catch y'all at ComicCon, GenCon, DragonCon, or WorldCon!!!
On the assumption that you bought a membership, have you told the con staff that you're cancelling? They can make use of the space: returned memberships are in high demand due to the con selling out.

GRRM is doing a reading at 7pm on Tuesday 10th at the Bloomsbury Theatre, which is just around the corner from the Wellcome Collection for the History of Medicine. I take students there quite frequently - would be happy to do a guided tour from 5-6pm, and collect donations towards upcoming BWB activities. So, anyone interested in battlefield surgery? the King's Evil? obstetric phantoms? Blood-and-guts through the ages?

I asked for the day off - but have been denied. So I'm going AWOL instead.
- Long story. I'm supposed to be working night shift on Thursday, but since that goes into a bank hol boss said I must work late shift in its place (which is against company health and saftey rules) - just about everyone else in the plant on night has been told not to come in or has changed shift for the entire week. Boss said If I don't come in he's gonna start disaplinary action and have me suspended without pay. I may have called him a rude name.
Oh what fun.

and if anyone would like to arrive by Pebble express then you need to either get yourself to upminster (yes its the end of the district line - don't underestimate how far the district line extends for) or ask me really nicely.
I can also do pick up from London City, at a pinch Standstead, Luton or Gatwick. I plan on leaving mine after lunch tomorrow. I can adjust my leave time accordinly.

This may be a false alarm but PMs appear to be working after a fashion. Does anyone want/need to swap mobile numbers?
My badge name for the con is not my board name, btw, but my RL name.
That'd be useful - other than the Goat, I don't appear to have any BwB numbers in my phone.
On a slightly related note, a question for Jo (or anyone else who can answer) - what's the best way of getting from the hotel to the pub tomorrow? I recall a minibus being mentioned - does it do regular trips, or do we have to call it out when required?
Edit: PMs seem to be down again. Try Facebook?

Its probably walkable anyhow but I would have assumed that the normal hotel shuttle was free.
